Creation Station
Overview
I offer kids any kind of art and crafts. I create the craft and provide the supplies and spend 1-3 hours working with them on creating and giving them the freedom to explore their environment, and to help them develop basic skills at their own pace and through trial and error, organized activity and creativity. The craft sessions are enjoyable and educational. Many times we use recycled materials therefore doing more for sustainability and environment.
I believe that children learn more from creating and doing hands-on arts and crafts using their imagination and boosting their confidence and make them willing and eager to learn new skills.

What to expect
When I bring Creation Station to you, I will provide the supplies for the crafts I have developed. I will provide supplies but if planning ahead, I might ask you to provide some recycled everyday materials or find out if you have available.
I want to get to know you and your children if I bring crafts to them on a regular basis. If I do and after awhile you want to take a break from kids for a few hours, while we create then we can do that too. I will always be showing them creation and watching their imaginations turn into creativity. Parents can then have memories and crafts to display proudly in their homes. I can do them in home with siblings, or I can do one-on-one, or I can do for a birthday party or for a small group of kids.
There will be no cost to you for supplies, unless I might ask ahead of time for normal everyday things you toss out. There will be cost for my time and cost will depend on the number of kids, and location.
Crafting with kids brings lots of smiles and memories!
About
My name is Elaine and I love kids! I have spent few years adapting and creating crafts for adults with developmental disabilities and children with special needs. I am 57 with 3 kids and 8 grandkids. I always love to keep them busy with my "creative ideas." I have spent over 20 years creating crafts for kids and have decided to utilize my ideas to share with other kids. I enjoy adapting and creating crafts for kids. I do many crafts with recycled materials and materials that I have access to.
Creativity and crafts help kids to develop skills and imagination. These station moments will help them be creative and help them learn more about about creativity in their world. We will play together, learn together!

Influences and inspiration
I have spent time for a few years working in Lawrence County for adults with developmental disabilities. I created the arts and crafts and then adapted the craft project to help them in their own way become creative. I would work 1-2 days a week doing crafts with them. I prepared the sample project ahead of time and would then gather the supplies and set up the crafts. I spent time learning ways to be creative and adapting supplies and materials and techniques.
I also had a daughter with cerebral palsy who is now in Heaven. She blessed me with 23 years of creating and adapting and doing hands on projects with her just to see her smile.
