Greetings. What to expect? We perform a totally clean, humorous and memorable Dueling Piano show for all ages. Weddings are really fun and for the same cost, we can bring DJ music with a full disco light show just like local DJ's have. It's a mix and match option and it's your call. Meet Crazy Keys Dueling Pianos.

First, John Griggs - AKA "The Mind".

Farm boy gone wild. John discovered dueling pianos in 1993. Thinking that it looked like fun, he began learning the skills needed to be successful in this brand of entertainment. John has had many years of experience in live performance since 1970's. Although all of it is not piano, as John is a multi instrumentalist. John has performed dueling pianos at the old "Bugsy's" in downtown Minneapolis as well as "L'tl Ditty's" at the Mall Of America. In 2000 he and a partner formed "The Ivory Kings". With a non stop schedule of night clubs, college bars, dance halls, casinos and corporate events, they were the original piano show in Kansas City, MO, Toledo, OH, Wilkes Barre, PA and Lake Okoboji, Iowa.

John is the Johnny Carson of dueling pianos. His personality, enthusiasm, awareness, and skill sets have earned him the nickname " The Mind". Everyone loves this guy. I mean it. John is joy, manifested right before your eyes. He is the best of all of us in this field and is the magical marriage of music and comedy.

Rob Vacanti - North Woods Fishing Guide Gone Entertainer.
Fishing anyone? Rob lives in North West Minnesota and spends his time fishing and guiding people to trophy Walleye, Crappie, Bass, and Northern Pike. Lot's of fun but it gets better as every week includes entertaining in Crazy Keys Dueling Pianos. This pretty much sums up everything a normal human needs in life.
Rob began playing theater organ at age 13. Rob has played all over and in every band, blah blah blah, can we eat now?

We do not share the same performance skills or personality traits, which means there is a ton of variety and unique tools at our disposal. Modern society seems to lean towards eliminating individuality. We specialize in featuring it and this evident contrast between Johnny and myself is a huge entertainment plus. We are not your generic Dueling Team mooching tips and creating song wars where you end paying $5 - $10- wow, now it's up to $20, just to hear "Piano Man", "Sweet Caroline" and other favorites.

Our travel distance is coast to coast, north to south. We provide pianos, sound system, and lights. In front of the pianos, free to grab and use at any time, is our " Toy Store". I call it, The Crazy Keys Dueling Piano Day Care. Little ones enjoy this but they often have to compete with mom and dad because FUN is addictive, and we bring it in spades.

Requirements? An 8 foot by 12 foot stage is all we need. We prefer an open area or buffer in front of the pianos that is 6 or 8 feet x 20 feet. This is where you folks ( and us ) get out front and have fun with hula hoops, Y.M.C.A. and Chicken dances, air guitar fun and other such stuff.

Here's some tech talk. Our sound system is not your typical karaoke gear like JBL, EV, Beringher, so on. We purchased super efficient amplification with line array speakers and horn subs similar to what a pro touring concert act would use. At huge ballrooms and outdoor events, or when running the most demanding deep punchy DJ material, our system can provide low content of 40 hz at 110bd, 1 watt, 1 meter with the ability to go beyond 120 db, ALL FROM ONE CIRCUIT. The line array towers that we use have the ability to perform only 3bd down per doubling of distance vs 6 db which means the folks in front WILL NOT get their heads blow off so those in back can hear. It is very open and clean sound.
