Comedy Take-Out

My comedy is about my life growing up in South Central LA to living in the Suburbs of Santa Clarita. I talk about my blended family of mixed race, my husband's snoring, my adult children, my step sons, horribly funny online dating experiences, hot flashes, my dogs and touch lightly on current events. I talk about my house plants, my yo-yo diet, changes in my body as I age and observational humor. My style has evolved and softened over the years to being less harsh and less dry sarcasm. I guess age does that to you. I can adapt to any audience type and can work PG-13 (clean).

I will ask questions about your event, the group of people attending, their interests and likes and what the event is about. If the event is for someone's birthday, I've had a comedian and msyelf gather information about the birthday boy, who turned 70, and we wrote a poem containing all of his favorite things and names of his kids, his wife and some memories they've shared together, all told in rhyme. I came up with a list of things you can do when you're 70. The list is very short. (ha!)

I'm very easy to get along with and will work to make your event a fun, memorable and funny one.

P.S. My default photo with my pouty lips is in reference to one of my jokes about girls who takekselfies with duck lips - plus it also annoys my daughter.

While I do enjoy performing comedy at local clubs or anywhere I can, I find that I really do enjoy putting a show together for various events. I get to hand-pick comedians and bring them together to create absolute magic with their varied comedy styles. I enjoy laughing and making others laugh. I also enjoy sharing the great talent with clients looking to bring smiles and laughter to their events.

I have been performing since 2014 and have had the privilege to perform at The Comedy Store in Hollywood, The Ice House in Pasadena, CA and numerous venues in the Los Angeles Area. I have also performed in Las Vegas and at Alice Cooper's Cooperstown Restaurant 3 years in a row for a fundraising event. I have produced my own shows at a winery, a Moose Lodge, a Bar & Grill Restaurant, private Golf Course, corporate events and private birthday parties.

I do have my own speakers and microphone and can get my own lighting, if needed.
I always like to visit the venue a week or so ahead of time, if able to, to see what I will be working with and to make sure I have access to plug in my equipment, if I need extension cords or other items and to test out the sound in the room our outdoor venue.
