What to expect
As an experienced producer of my own weekly and touring comedy shows, I completely understand the desire to ensure everyone has a good time. As a comedian at your event, I will work closely with you to ensure you and I both know and understand all the factors that go into making the performance work — everything from technical set-up to any desired content. I will bring only reliable and tested material to your event — aside from any custom material that may be requested for an increased rate. These are not the places that I'm messing around at, they are chances to bring people something they enjoy and have a good time.
About
Colin Sharp has always spent too much time in his own head, so now he spends his time on stage. A friendly, inviting presence, he loves telling stories from his life and getting way too passionate about things that don’t matter. Colin has performed from Halifax to Victoria, been featured as part of the JFL Vancouver Comedy Festival, been heard on SiriusXM, and has been running acclaimed shows in his hometown of Vancouver since 2014. In high school, he broke his finger playing flag football, but it no longer affects his everyday life.
Additional booking notes
To give a stand-up performance the best chance to succeed, the ideal space will let everyone:
- Clearly see the comedian
- Clearly hear the comedian
- Not have simultaneous distractions
- Not feel seen/watched themselves
- Have a place to sit
This means a strong PA system, good stage lighting, preferably a raised stage (even just the height of a pallet helps), seating for the audience, being able to dim the house lights to an absolute minimum, and not having other activities (such as dinner being served).
That being said, I've also done some very good shows in some very weird places. Share with me any details of the space, photos or videos you may have access to, and I'm sure we can figure out the best solution for the space or spaces you are considering.

I like to think that every comedian still brings their own unique perspective and flavour to their performing style, but stand-up comedians I have greatly admired over the years include the likes of Paul F. Tompkins, Pete Holmes, John Mulaney, Rory Scovel, and more.
