February 17, 2026Outstanding addition to our meeting
Clivia Provided an outstanding addition to our company meeting. She created a lovely environment with breathtaking ambience, and music. So easy to work with and very understated but completely upscale.
I would highly recommend Clivia and her flute playing to any environment where a little something extra is needed. It was a pleasure to have her with us that morning.

Booking information
Price range: $250-2000
Gig length: 20 - 180 minutes
What to expect
Events: I provide concert experiences as well as background music services.
For events where I am providing only background music, or if the venue has a secluded area where I can warm up, I will arrive at least an hour before I am expected to play.
For larger events that include a detailed itinerary, and/or events are at venues that do not have secluded areas for warm ups/sound checks, (such as live concert programs, or wedding ceremonies), I will arrive at least an hour earlier before the event starts so I can do a sound check if possible and get a feel for the setting before people arrive.
Prices will generally reflect the distance I must travel (current rate is $1.00/mile), and for the amount of time I will need to physically be there (base charge minimum is $250-350 depending on type of event. Additional charge of $50-100 for each additional hour or set depending on type of event and music). I also generally require a non-refundable deposit of half the amount upfront, to ensure preparation for the gig is covered. You can expect me to be fully transparent and provide a detailed breakdown on my charges.
About
General bio: I earned her Bachelors of Music at California State University of Fullerton, studying under internationally-renowned flutist, Jean Ferrandis. I have earned multiple awards and scholarships during my collegiate studies, and has performed in masterclasses for flutists such as Nikolai Duchamp, Carol Wincenc, Leone Buyse, and Demarre McGill.
While my performance prowess is often seen as the forefront of my career, my experience wearing multiple hats as a performer, educator, and nonprofit worker has shaped me into a versatile musician well-suited for any task when it comes to music.
Performance: I have enjoyed performing in a variety of settings-from coffee shops and wedding receptions to world-renowned stages such as the Renee and Henry Segerstrom and Walt Disney Concert hall. I have performed as principal flutist with orchestras such as the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra, San Gabriel Valley symphony, Synesthesia Sinfonietta, Elite Choir & Orchestra and more. She also performs regularly with her partner, Nick Godoy, on guitar.
Music Education: I have taught private and group instruction for flute and piano, and have also served as a flute and woodwind clinician for youth ensembles and orchestras such as the Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra. Other ensembles I regularly taught include Claremont district elementary & middle school bands, Loara High School, Katella High School, and several other schools and youth ensembles in the Los Angeles and Orange County area.
Nonprofit: In addition to performance and education, I have extensive experience in nonprofit work which began with my internship with Clazzical Notes in 2015, where I assisted in grant-writing, program development, and event coordination. In 2019, I co-founded an orchestral ensemble, Synesthesia Sinfonietta, with Isaiah Castro, to provide quality concert programming and community outreach music programs to local communities. In 2023, I worked as a curatorial associate for MUSE/IQUE. One of the concerts I curated was featured in the LA Times.
Additional booking notes
I will not perform outside in extreme weather because this may cause damage to my instrument and hinder performance ability.
Optimal performance temperature for would be around 65-76 degrees. I will not perform in temperatures under 60 degrees or over 85 degrees, or in rainy or windy weather unless proper shelter and environmental insulation is provided.
In the case where I must cancel due to sudden unforeseen weather situations, you will receive a full refund.

Set list
Background music: This is music that is suitable for events where people listen passively. Common settings include art galleries, corporate events, receptions, etc. Examples of music include pop and jazz charts, or short, simple classical pieces such as Air on G by Bach or Berceuse by Faure. I will normally play my own selections/whatever I find best suited for the setting, but specific songs can be requested preferably at least 3 days in advance so I can prepare the list and arrangements.
Concert music: This is music that is suitable for a concert hall setting or any events where people are actively listening. Some solo pieces I have performed in this setting include Tango Etudes by Piazzolla, Piece by Ibert, and Syrinx by Debussy. Concert music can take anywhere from a week to a month to prepare depending on technical difficulty, so it is preferred that you let me know what you want me to perform well in advance, especially if you are requesting music that is unfamiliar to me (I will let you know before booking.)
Prices reflect the amount of time needed to prepare the music.
Setup requirements
Chair if I am providing background music for a longer period of time (>60 min.)
