Clay Babies play our originals and also can play a variety of genres including folk, Americana, Celtic, Appalachian old-time, country-folk-gospel, blues, and more. Along with singing, our current repertoire comprises guitars, fiddle, mandolin, Irish bouzouki, Irish tenor banjo, Appalachian claw-hammer banjo, and harmonica. Around the globe (most often in Georgia, US) our acoustic duo is available to play wherever the sounds of our strings and voices would enrich your event. We'll customize our set to play whichever of our genres you like best.

What to Expect
We are professional and nice. We show up on time and start playing on time. We play a variety of genres and a variety of venues, from house concerts to pub stages, from coffeehouses to weddings, bed & breakfasts, restaurants, and sky's the limit. So don't be shy to make an inquiry regarding any style of occasion in need of music. If we haven't done what you're looking for yet, we'll often welcome the new experience.
Reared in the red-clay foothills of Georgia (Tim) and South Carolina (Lillie), Clay Babies followed our hearts to the mountains of Western North Carolina where folk music and beautiful nature abounds. We loved living in the Appalachian mountains, a mecca for musicians of old-time, folk, and Celtic music. After many years of learning mountain music, we finally found each other. Ideally matched in music and life, we now happily hang our instruments (and hats) in north Georgia, a land near to many ancestors in both our families. Our favorite thing to do is play music with each other, and we love finding people who like to listen to it as much as we like to play it.
You can check out our albums of originals on our website. Whether you'd be interested in originals or any of the folk or traditional music we play such as Celtic, Appalachian old-time, or gospel, we can customize a music set to suit your event.
