What to expect

Fine-art photography is photography created in line with the vision of the photographer as artist, using photography as a medium for creative expression. The goal of fine-art photography is to express an idea, a message, or an emotion. (Wikipedia)

During Fine-Art photo-sessions our task is to create painterly portraits, reminding us of old-school portraiture. Something that you would frame and hang on the wall.
What is the difference between fine-art and a conventional photo-session?
A conventional photo-session is more about documenting your personality. Photos you could use for work.

Fine-art photo-sessions take more time to create an idea and vision. Time for sketching, choosing clothes, props, accessories and many other details.

Fine-art is theatrical! It's a chance to feel yourself as somebody else, a chance to play a role and create completely different images of yourself.

Usually a fine art portrait does not involve a smile. The point is that fine art photography tends to approach the style of classical painting. Can you imagine Monna Lisa smiling?:)

Photo session takes 1 - 1,5 hours, but if I feel like we can make a few more good photos I will extend the amount of time of the photo-session. No charge.
