“Kristian Paradis was hired as a percussionist for a choral holiday concert in Northern Virginia. He was great to work with and an excellent musician. ”
Overview
Drummer with 20 years of experience and formal training in Costa Rica. My playing moves naturally across Latin music, rock en español, alternative rock, pop, funk, roots, romantic, balada and reggae — from deep, grooving pocket work to high-energy live performance.
I adapt fast: comfortable with click tracks, setlists, charts, and jumping in with any band on short notice. My approach is groove-first — solid time, musical dynamics, and serving the song above everything else.
Professional, punctual, and easy to work with, on stage and in the studio.
Bilingual (Español / English).

October 21, 2026Exceptional Drummer and Leader!
I’ve had the joy and privilege of knowing Chumi and making music with him for years, and I couldn’t be prouder of the musician and leader he’s become!
Chumi is an incredibly talented drummer with amazing musical instincts, passion, creativity, and versatility across different musical genres. His years of experience in church and worship ministry have shaped him into a well-rounded musician who knows how to adapt, connect with other musicians, and bring excellence to every performance.
What I especially admire is his leadership. I’ve personally watched him organize bands, lead rehearsals, direct musicians, and bring out the best in everyone around him. He’s someone I can trust completely, both on and off the stage.
But beyond all his musical abilities, Chumi is simply a wonderful human being with a beautiful heart. He’s humble, generous, dependable, and genuinely cares about people. To me, he’s much more than a musician I’ve worked with; he’s like family.
I love this guy, I’m incredibly proud of him, and I recommend him wholeheartedly. Anyone who gets to work with Chumi is truly blessed!

October 21, 2026Versatile beast on drums and fantastic human
I have played with Chumi for 20+ sets in different band contexts across genres. The guy can do it all! Nasty pocket, dynamics, taste, and versatile. Always prepared, always positive, and always playing to serve the song. He’s a wonderful person and a great teammate. Sign him and you won’t regret it!
