Chris Waters

As a DJ- I really love playing deep/melodic/ progressive House. I call this "Deep Waters"- you can check out my Deep Waters mixes on Soundcloud. This is chill house that makes you feel like you're floating in the clouds. I also really love 90's hip hop. BUT it's obviously it's not about what I like. I can be flexible and come up with the right set for the right event. It's all based on what the client wants.

As a solo performer- My own music is really a hybrid of pop/ hip hop/ electronic/ and acoustic. So the audience gets it all. Sometimes high energy/ sometimes very chill/ and sometimes living in between. I consider myself to be well rounded in that regard.

Chris Waters is a singer /songwriter/ rapper/ and DJ from Milwaukee, WI and now living in Denver, CO. His debut was an EP called "Rise," released in June 2018. The EP established him as a solid electro-pop artist, but since then he's been changing lanes through combining hip-hop/rap, pop, and electronic elements in most of his songs. He also has received attention for some acoustic covers... his Post Malone cover of "Feeling Whitney" has amassed a quarter million views on Youtube. His single "Blurry" released in 2020 touched on the pandemic, and quickly became his biggest single to date, having been streamed over 500,000 times across various platforms. His DJ mixes have also been well received by listeners in many countries all over the globe. As of 2023, Chris is now performing live both as a solo act as well as a DJ.

"I would describe myself as a reformed partier.... lol. I grew up in Wisconsin and started drinking at a very young age. I kept that going for a long time, but eventually it just wasn't working for me anymore. I decided to stop drinking in March of 2016, and I haven't looked back since. I still have that addictive "thing" going on, but now I'm more addicted to exercise and making music and DJing. It's been a long journey, but my love of music is only growing as I get older.... so I plan on being around for a while and I see no end in sight."

Listening to? Currently, it's a whole lotta Ben Böhmer and on the rap side NF, De La Soul, Logic, and Macklemore

As a DJ- my preferred set up is using a DDJ-400 w Rekordbox, my Mac, and if speakers are needed I like K-12's. As a solo act, as of right now I am just using show tracks/ backing tracks and would sing/ rap over them.
