With an extensive background in dance training, Chris provides an elegant aerial act with a focus on quality of movement and bodily expression. Chris can create unique acts to the audio of your choice, or he can provide gentle background movement without being the focus of your event. Hire him to give your event an extra bit of excitement and stylish flare.
When Santa Maria Valley Humane Society chose "Circus" as its theme for our annual fundraising event, we turned to Gig Salad to find aerial acts. We found Chris and his group Aerial Arts and booked them right away. Chris was fantastic to work with from start to finish - from planning and site visits to the event set up and the performances. Really fun, creative, professional and all-around stars! Thanks Chris for a job well done!
Chris performed for our holiday party with over 300 people. He choreographed two pieces and did a phenomenal job. Both his choreography and choice of music was perfect. He totally captured the audiences attention. I highly recommend hiring him!
Chris was wonderful to work with and brought delight to all our guests. He brought in two fully choreographed pieces that worked with our environment and demographics. Would highly recommend working with Chris.

What to Expect
When hired for a choreographed act, you can expect to see drops, spins, and movement sequences all timed to the beat of the accompanying music.
When hired for ambient aerial, you can expect to see movement sequences and beautiful resting positions. These routines are less active and will not be the same every time.
Chris began training as an aerialist in May of 2015. From his first class, he was hooked.
Chris has primarily practiced at Suspended Motion but has also visited Aerial Artique in San Francisco. He has been fortunate to know and train with aerial artist extraordinaire Lei Lei DeKirby. Chris has performed in Suspended Motion’s annual Eventyr, at San Luis Obispo Farmers Market (hosted by Aero Aerial), and he opened for TEDxSanLuisObispo.
In addition to his aerial experience, Chris has heavy training in ballet, jazz, and modern dance styles. He continues to train at multiple dance studios including Class Act Dance, CORE Dance, and the San Luis Obispo Civic Ballet. He has danced in multiple shows, including: The Nutcracker as the Arabian male lead, Rythyms as part of CORE Dance’s adult dance company, the San Luis Obispo Opera, and La Fille Mal Gardée as Colas. He has also trained with renowned and beloved choreographer, Suzi Miller.
Chris believes that something truly magical happens when you combine dance with the act of defying gravity. He channels his energies into the performing arts to help build a happier, healthier, more beautiful world. He believes that the struggle that comes with growing his skill in the aerial arts refines his soul as well as his body. He finds collaborating and dreaming up new ideas exciting, challenging, fulfilling, and fun. As a professional, he works hard to bring a fresh, creative, and positive space with him on all of his projects.
