Chris P. Basslines
Overview
Freelance bassist that’s toured in everything from a sedan to a double decker bus. Name a style, I’ll play it. Need stage presence? Anything from dance moves to costume, I’ve got it. Need remotely recorded bass? Guess who’s got great basses and gear? This guy. One-stop shop for live and studio work, plus I’m pretty good-looking and hardworking!

What to expect
From the second I wake up to the moment I fall asleep, every gig is the most important gig I’ll ever be part of. I’ll show up knowing all the music, dressing the part, and giving the performance that serves the music best. Everything from a high energy punk show to a groovy funk set, I’ll run, I’ll jump, and I’ll give the band space to shine in any setting. I can wear a suit as well as I do a cut-off t-shirt and rock the bass lines all the same, but never overstep my role as the groove and foundation of each song.
About
I’ve been playing bass for 20 years now in just about every setting, and I’m always looking for something to keep my fingers moving! Self-taught and then college-trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, I’m excited to learn whatever you can throw at me. There’s no genre or gig I won’t try at least once, and I’ll do it with a smile if that’s what you ask for! I’m a perpetual student of the musicians I work with and look forward to learning from the professionals I get to meet!
Additional booking notes
I can run a fully digital or analog rig, but choose to go hybrid when allowed. I don’t have an amp, but that can be discussed if the gig calls for it. More of my touring experience is with In-ear monitoring, but I flexible and will play just as well with any monitoring system. Basses I play will also reflect your needs visually and tuning-wise. Your show is the priority when you hire me!

Set list
Set list is determined by the artist! I have a large repertoire as I’ve done Broadway in Nashville and cruise gigs where learning on the fly is important.
Influences and inspiration
I am a rock/pop oriented player, but I will play appropriately in whichever style is asked of me. I emulate players like: Paul McCartney, Geddy Lee, Carol Kaye, Flea, and Donald “Duck” Dunn. My main goal is to serve the music while bringing an appropriate energy to the stage.
