Chris Glik

I will perform the music you love. I play the standards - great american songbook from the 20's through . . . I also play classical, R@B, Jazz, soul, motown and more. I sing as well if you would like that.

I will provide my own keyboard and sound system, as required. I will dress appropriately for your event.

Chris Glik performs as a single (keyboards/piano and vocals) as well as
with his own group - Chris Glik Band all over Southern California. Glik
works with many vocalists as musical director/accompanist. Music Director
at Ahiah (church of Spiritual Science in Pasadena, CA.) performed /
recorded with Freddy Bell and the Bell Boys, Okaysions, Platters,
Inkspots, Coasters, Brook Benton, Frank Gorshin, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra,
Glenn Miller Orchestra, Barbara Morrison and many more. Arranged /
composed music for Leonard Reed, Henry Nemo, Chester Whitmore, Lula
Washington Dance Group, Helen Reddy, Chris Calloway, Nicholas Brothers,
Warner Brothers, Columbia Talent Management, Paul Kennedy Dance Studio,
Viewpoint School, and many others. Television/Film appearances "Castle,
Close To Home" - CBS "20 Great Years" - NBC Pilot "Desperate Housewives"
"Boston Legal" "Two And A Half Men". Musical theater productions - As You
Like It, Oliver, How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, Leader
Of The Pack, West Side Story, Pippin, Into The Woods, Barry Moses' Bar
Mitzvah, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Forever Plaid, Lady Day At
Emerson's Bar And Grill, and more. In 2007, one of Glik's collaborations,
"As They Like It", was produced at the Barnsdell Theater in Hollywood.
2010 saw the premiere of yet another new musical, "Whiskey Flats: How The
West Was Fun" in New Bern, North Carolina. Musical Director for various
productions by Lehman Engel Music Theater Group, Mulholland Tennis Club,
and more. Glik has a diploma from Peabody Institute of Music and studied
with the late Louis Shub (piano), the late Gunther Schuller, the late
Louis Cheslock, and others. Glik lists Henry Nemo and Leonard Reed as
mentors.
