Stop looking and hire Chris and his band!

Planning an event is stressful with a long to-do list. Hiring Chris and his band was the easiest and best decision we made for our wedding reception. He put together a great playlist with both classic and modern songs appropriate for all ages. For the reception, the dinner music was light and set a nice ambiance. For the dancing, the band really got the guests going and everyone was out dancing! I wouldn’t have guessed all the people that got out on the floor and had a great time. Almost all of our guests commented well after our wedding about “what a great band”. Chris and his band set the mood for the night and we all had a great time. I can’t recommend Chris and his band enough. Check with them for any music needs because they’ll be a great addition to your event!

A great musician for your next event!

Chris Collier is a music star in the making. Every aspect of dealing with him was a delight. He was very responsive to all queries prior to the event. He checked out the venue prior to the event for his own assessment. He provided a song list which was better than we could have doing it ourselves. On the day of the event he and his team showed up as early as 2pm for a 6pm event, to setup and test everything. When we came to the venue at 6pm everything was setup and ready to go.
The music they provided was just superb. The dinner music was light and enjoyable, followed by dance music which had our guests dancing till 10 pm. The band played extraordinary music for four hours, at the end of which they were still willing to play more.
I highly recommend Chris. Just a joy to work with and an excellent quality musician. Get him before he becomes too big to hire!

Perfect for Our Event

We hired Chris to perform background music for our Annual Rose Show at Belmont University and he was outstanding in all aspects. He arrived prior to the time he was due to play (in order to set up), he was professionally dressed and respectful, and the music he played was perfect for our event - just the right repertoire for our audience. Chris is really an excellent guitarist! I was concerned that guitar music played through an amplifier would be too loud and compete with a workshop that was taking place at the same time. But, the volume was not a problem whatsoever. Net-net, Chris was an ideal choice for our event. Not only would I hire him again but I would also serve as a reference for him should someone, who’s thinking of hiring him, want more information about his performance at our event.

A polished, highly professional guitarist

Chris did an outstanding job performing at our corporate event held at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum. His professional training was evident in the quality of his performance. Equally important, he was very easy to work with and managed the timeline well. It was comforting to us that he has a network of colleagues that he could call upon if he got sick; many event performers have no contingency plans. All in all, we are extremely pleased with our choice.

Professional, easy to work with and extremely talented!

We hired Chris to perform at a high-level fundraising event at Belmont University to showcase his many talents and create a warm and engaging ambience while guests mingled and enjoyed an exhibition in the Leu Art Gallery. In addition to being an accomplished musician and outstanding guitarist, he is extremely easy to work with, professional and friendly. He has a broad repertoire and "wow-ed" our guests.

Booking information

Price range: $50 and up.

Gig length: 30 - 240 minutes

What to expect

Solo guitar (can also provide a singer or trio/quartet if client desires) performing a range of jazz and pop tunes with a sensitivity to the event. Need calm background music for a evening dinner or more elaborate playing for a featured performance at your event? I've got it covered. I will be prompt and professional in communicating with the client and making sure that every detail is covered before I show up to the gig.
Solo guitar arrangements involve me playing the harmony and melody of a song all on the guitar, so while there will not be any singing unless I bring a singer, audience members will still be able to sing and dance along to familiar tunes, or simply sit back and listen to my playing.
Have performed extensively at private dinner events, weddings, and corporate events. Resume available upon request.

About

My name is Christopher Collier and I am a guitarist based in Nashville, Tennessee. I play almost any style of guitar, and work around town and on the road with various country, jazz, and pop acts. I have a lot of experience playing solo guitar for private and corporate events (resume available upon request), including a residency at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island during the summer of 2017 as their house guitarist.
I strive to be professional and provide music that is appropriate to the event. I can also provide a singer if a duo is required, as well as a bassist and drummer if a larger ensemble is desired. Thank you for taking the time to check out my profile.

Additional booking notes

I can bring everything I need. All I need is a power source to plug in my amplifier if the client wants electric guitar.
