Equally at home on the violin, piano, and cello, we are happy to perform duo concerts, background music, transform your event, or collaborate with existing ensembles. We appear frequently as a string duo or piano/string duo, but can also bring a trio or full quartet to your event.

September 29, 2024We hired the Chou Sisters for my daughter's wedding. They played in the church ceremony as well as during the cocktail hour, and were always on cue. Extremely professional with great communications and follow up. Lilian and Diane made it a point to make sure our daughter's event was special. They have a deep repertoire and were willing to learn a couple of my daughter's favorite pieces. The owner of the event space told me she was so impressed she was going to add them to her recommended list.

Chou Sisters Duo: We can provide music for your wedding, open house, reception, fancy dinner, lobby area, or perform a duo concert! We are happy to provide a range of classical music, from simple background favorites to show stoppers, or even niche modern works for the classical music enthusiast. For instance, while performing as one of the Viking Cruise Line’s classical duo, we frequently presented an hour of Norwegian music as a backdrop to Norwegian artwork. We are also happy to play popular classics from the Beatles and Disney to favorite pop songs. We are happy to work together to find the best music for your event.
The 3+1 String Quartet: our professional string quartet concertizes throughout the Chicago area and has enjoyed performing at the Chicago Jazz Festival, presenting educational concerts at schools, and presenting eclectic programs on concert series. The Chou Sisters have been performing together for over 20 years. Both sisters are pianists with decades of collaborative experience and enjoy performing piano duets together. They hold bachelor’s degrees in both piano and strings from the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music. Diane also holds a master’s degree in cello performance from the Chicago College of the Performing Arts and Lilian completed her master’s at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University in violin performance. The Chou Sisters also perform with the 3+1 Quartet in the greater Chicago area, and both also freelance as soloists or with worship bands or chamber ensembles.
We limit outdoor performances when there is a risk of rain.
Armless chairs are appreciated but not required.
