Overview
Vicki specializes in providing music for weddings and parties. Instrumentalists include solo violin, violin/guitar duo, string trios, quartets, strolling strings, violin/piano duo, and other ensembles that can include other types of musicians.
Performing with strolling string groups, Vicki has played at some of Chicago's finest hotels such as The Four Seasons, The Drake, and the Hilton Towers for various special events.

We booked her for my parents anniversary lunch and she was fantastic, she even played some Hispanic songs because most of our party was Hispanic. She played wonderfully and was such a kind person. Highly recommend booking her.

Vicki and her partner did a wonderful job playing for my wedding at a botanical garden on 10/8/22! I never heard her play until the wedding day, but I was so impressed by her talents and knowledge, and was very happy to haven chosen her to play for my big day. I wasn't able to hear the majority of the music because I was the bride tucked away in the back unfortunately, but I received so many compliments from the guests about how wonderfully she and her partner played. She was very communicative, she knew how to adapt to unplanned changes, and executed the music changes perfectly. I highly recommend Vicki for your next event!

I'm so glad to have booked Vicki for my mother's memorial service. Her and her performers made the day a truly special occasion for us and our guests.
From our initial contact, she was gracious and helpful, providing song recommendations and working with us to create a memorable experience. She was very accommodating of our special requests, and was able to create some wonderful arrangements from the sheet music we provided.
Her communication the day-of was excellent, arriving on time and putting us at ease as the event began. She and her group were even able to roll with some AV challenges on our end, heroically looping the arrangement we asked her to play so as to bridge an unexpected delay. I was truly impressed with how seamlessly she and her performers adapted.
We received many compliments throughout the morning and after on how excellent the musicians were. I wholeheartedly recommend Vicki for your event as well.

We asked Vicki to play for our father's memorial service. We had one piece of music in mind, but she was very willing to play all of the other hymns as well as search for the music. She went out of her way to get all details and was very flexible in playing along with the established church organist. If we had been more familiar with the church and procedures, we may have insisted that it be only Vicki playing, as we really enjoyed her accompaniment.

6. Wireless mic and amp provided at no extra charge, if needed;

About
Vicki is a classically-trained violinist, having studied under Edgar Muenzer and Eric Wicks, former members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. During her senior year in high school, she was selected to be in the IMEA Orchestra that represented the United States at the International Music Educators Conference in Dijon, France. She was a member of the Chicago Civic Orchestra while attending college; she has also played in the Northwest Symphony and Oak Park Symphony. She was an orchestra and band instructor for 22 years in the public schools.
Additional Booking Notes
If an event is outside, an active electrical outlet needs to be available in order to plug in the amp. String players need to be sheltered from the sun, due to the harmful effects it may cause to the varnish on our instruments...so, under a tree, an upright umbrella, or small canopy. Weather is an important factor...must be 40 degrees or higher, and not raining in order to play outside.
