My style of comedy is kind of a combination of Jonathan Winters and George Carlin. I draw comedy from my own life experiences and the world around us. I can be squeaky clean or blue but never crude. I've done hundreds of corporate gigs in my almost 50-year career.
Chicago Steve Barkley is a 50-year comedy veteran who has performed worldwide as seen on HBO, Showtime, A&E, ABC’s America’s Funniest People, ABC’s Foul Ups, Bleeps and Blunders. He has performed in Michael Nesmiths’s Grammy Award Winning video “Elephant Parts”.
Steve has toured or opened with Ray Charles, The Righteous Bros., Duane Allman, Smokey Robinson, Chicago, Michael Bolton, Keb Mo, The Doobie Brothers, and more, and shared the spotlight with comedy greats like Louie Anderson, Jerry Seinfeld, Dana Carvey, Milton Berle, Kevin Pollack, and Jay Leno!
I need a good, dependable sound system and microphone, preferably with a cord. No podium microphones, or clip-on, please. A stool, and a small table for bottled water. Lighting should be adequate on stage so I can see and interact with the crowd. No bright glaring spotlights, please!
