I am a Chef and a Culinary Artist with a vision: to change the way the average person thinks about food and to change the future of the fine-dining experience through a different approach to using local foods, one-of-a-kind flavors, and providing singular experiences. People should feel connected to who cooks their food and where it comes from locally because understanding that makes the taste that much better.
My menus are 100% customizable, ranging from reimagined classics to experimental experiences. I commonly create four to six-course meals based on what's in season. While I primarily work with Japanese and Mexican flavors. I am also knowledgeable in various cuisines.
This was the first time I ever hired a chef for a party. It was my dad’s 80 birthday and we had 14 people coming over. Once I connected with Chef Justin, he was thoughtful, considerate, and professional. He had great ideas and was willing to listen to mine. The night of the event he showed up the time he said he was and was completely prepared for the event. During the evening his food was incredible as well as the service from his team. I would definitely hire Chef Justin again for any event I have in the future.

I like to take the time to talk with you to fully understand your specific wants, needs, and dietary preferences. I can also answer any questions you may have. I then create custom menus that introduce something new while keeping to what you like. I source all ingredients, show up hours before the event, bring in kitchen help depending on the party size, and I am always here to help you along the way. I can also supply service staff, plate ware, and cutlery.

As a native Angeleno, I was privileged enough to develop a palate for every type of flavor. Coupling that with my travels--working and exploring other countries and their respective cuisines--I have been fortunate to take my craft and expertise beyond American borders, from small family-owned restaurants to the highest luxury hotels.
There are a variety of flavor combinations that few utilize. I want to introduce people to new flavors and foods they once would have been hesitant to eat due to their lack of understanding. I am highly selective in food authenticity, creativity, and originality. I critically think about every point in the process--from creating the dish to when the guest experiences it.
The day of the event will look like this.
Arrival Time: My kitchen team and I will arrive around 4 hours before the event. Servers typically arrive 30 minutes before the event unless they are helping with the table setup.
Service Time: This is flexible, but food service usually runs 1 1/2-2 hours. Often people have a cocktail hour with small bites beforehand, usually 30min to an hour.
Service Type: I can do individually plated, family style, or buffet. I often recommend a server to help pour drinks, clear tables, and even set up. Regardless I will always be part of the experience and explain every dish that comes to the table.
Clean Up: My motto is to leave the kitchen cleaner than we found it. We stay until the kitchen is clean and the dishes used are washed or put into the dishwasher. We normally do not wash wine glasses, but exceptions can be made.
