Chaz A Chambers

Chaz A. Chambers is an American musician, drummer, producer, composer, marketer and instructor. He has performed drums for many artists from the Atlanta, and southeastern United States area, playing genres ranging from Pop, Rock, Country, Jazz, Big Band, R&B, Funk, Dance, Disco, Latin, and much more! Chambers grew up just south of downtown Atlanta. During adolescence, he played drums in school, church, and at then quickly began playing show after show for hundreds and thousands of fans. Chaz graduated from the Atlanta Institute of Music in Duluth, GA with a focus in Drum Performance. Only a few days after graduating, Chaz was off to a full-time drumming position for Carnival Cruise Lines. Chaz has played in front of more than 150,000 people per year, and on multiple different cruise ships as a Showband Orchestra, and Lounge Drummer. This job included playing “Vegas-style” production shows, many different styles, fly-on artists from around the world (Motown, jugglers, etc), sight reading music, playing to a click track(Metronome) live, and creating a good feel for the audience to enjoy!

Chaz has experience teaching drums to people of all ages. He has taught as a substitute for various lesson’s studios in Atlanta as well as freelance lessons in student’s homes and his own studio. Chambers also has has given instruction as a drum-line director for various high schools.

Chaz’s performance and teaching style is rooted in energetic, and organic influences. Having learned directly from Tom Knight of TLC, Dave Weckl (Chick Corea, Mike Stern), Jack Jones, Chris Coleman, Eric Sanders, and Creig Harbor (the head drum teacher from Atlanta Institute of Music). Chaz’s favorite drummers seem to be the most “groovy” of drummers, such as Buddy Rich, David Garibaldi, Neil Peart, Steve Jordan, and Stewart Copeland. Chaz is a humble and open minded person and willing to learn and grow himself, and his musical abilities constantly.
