💍 Officiant Services – Fiona also creates and lead Celtic handfasting ceremonies with ribbon or tartan. (Not YET a legal officiant) Whether you want a simple exchange or a ceremony woven with symbolism, she'll craft it with warmth, care, and tradition.

August 13, 2023We hired them to perform a ceilidh at my wedding with around 110 guests. They were absolutely incredible and this was one of the most fun experiences I've ever had. This was a Scottish/Canadian wedding so a lot of people did not know the steps to each song. Fiona was the caller and did an amazing job giving everyone instructions. The music was incredible and myself, my husband and our guests had so much fun. We still have friends bringing up the ceilidh at our wedding today!

March 23, 2018I can’t say enough wonderful things about this Celtic duo. We hired them for our wedding to perform while guests arrived and during our ceremony. They were very professional and took the time to meet with us before the wedding. We were able to pick and hear the songs we liked which helped us feel extremely confident that our ceremony would go smoothly. During the day they arrived on time, were again very professional and sounded absolutely perfect. The mood was set by their beautiful performance and I cannot thank them enough for being apart of our wedding day. I will recommend them to anyone having a wedding or celebration!

Ceilidh dances are interactive and fun, with a caller guiding everyone through the steps so no experience is needed.
If you hired us for your event, you’d receive professional, flexible service tailored to your needs—whether it’s elegant ceremony music, upbeat background sets, or a full evening of dancing. Ensembles can be arranged from duo to quartet, ensuring the right fit for your space and budget.
For couples, I also offer symbolic Celtic handfasting woven together with live music (not a legal officiant), creating a meaningful and memorable moment.
Fiona McCairley is an award winning fiddler with an honours degree in music in clarinet performance. She was also a member of the Guelph Symphony Orchestra for 15 years, and is currently the Founder and Music Director of the Guelph Celtic Orchestra.
She enjoys performing with guitarist, Ed Koenig, Tyler Bridge (Pipe Major, Guelph Pipe Band) and Mika McCairley (keys) All are accomplished, professional players who also sing, play mandolin, tenor banjo and harmonica.
Our music ranges from lively upbeat Celtic tunes from Scotland, Ireland, Cape Breton, to more popular genres and some surprise swingy arrangements!
Award winning step dancers are also available, for an extra fee
Handfasting ceremonies also available, whilst not legally binding, adds a touch of Cetic flair to the wedding day!
