Cathryn was an absolute dream to work with. We asked her to do a comedy performance virtually for our annual Conference for 6000 library professionals. She provided us footage, plus additional jokes to cut in if there was anything we didn't like. We have a great turnout on line with people put comments in the chat and it was really well received. Kudos to Cathryn for making this format work with the timing etc. She was a total professional and would love to work with her again when we are live at events. Thank you Cathryn for being so awesome.

About
A few years ago, Cathryn Naiker decided to leave her career in broadcasting to follow her dreams of becoming a comedy writer, comedian, and according to the British Journal of Psychiatry, out of her mind! But the risk has paid off.
Currently, Cathryn is writing for the new show Son Of A Critch which will debut on CBC in January 2022.
Previously Cathryn has written for, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, The Parker Andersons/Amelia Parker, Lockdown, and the video game Later Daters. She got started as the writer’s room Script Coordinator for The Mr. D Show season 8, writer for The Beaverton Season 2, and contributor for their website. As well as a writing consultant for the popular YouTube Channel ASAPScience.
Netflix-Banff Film and Television Festival Fellowship Recipient, A finalist in Screencraft’s Pilot Launch Competition in both 2017 and 2021, Recipient of the Toronto Artscape Daniels Launchpad Artist Bursary Finalist at Just For Laughs, Montreal (Pitch At Your Own Risk), Winner of the Writers for Writers Diversity Initiative, Toronto Screenwriters Conference and a finalist at Sirius XM Canada’s Top Comic.
Cathryn is also a proud alumnus of The Writers Guild of Canada & Bell Media Diverse Screenwriters program. She also wrote and co-starred in the IPF funded web series Dhaliwal ‘15 with YouTube star Jus Reign.
As a comedian, she has been accepted to the Women in Comedy Festival (WICF Boston) and performed at top comedy festivals such as JFL42, Just For Laughs Pitch at your own risk & JFLZoo fest, Gilda’s Club Laugh Fest, She Dot (Toronto 3 years in a row), Border City Comedy Fest, Brantford Comedy Fest, and NXNE to name a few. She is an in-demand performer in Canada's comedy scene and continues to pursue her goals of hilarious domination.
