Carter Stevens

I provide solo piano background music for corporate functions, wedding receptions, private parties and just about any event that can be imagined. I specialize in jazz and cocktail standards - music by George Gerswhin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington and other great composers of that era. An elegant, swinging and understated addition to your next event!

In the event of a piano not being available on site I am able to provide my own electric piano. If your event requires more musical variety than duos, trios and larger ensembles can be arranged upon request.

Carter Stevens is a well rounded pianist experienced in a variety of genres including jazz, classical, funk and rock. He has performed in many settings throughout the Mid Atlantic region. Past performances include the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage, An Die Musik and a wide variety of private functions in venues such as the National Press Club. He holds a BA in classical music from Brevard College and has studied jazz privately or taken individual lessons from teachers including Mark Brandt, Brian Charette, and Ike Stubblefield.
