CARNAL CIRCUS is an experience. We are not just a musical group or band. Carnal Circus entertains through music, song, an adult puppet show, dancing clowns and other fun surprises, whether you need 30 minutes or 3 hours. There is audience participation that can be tailored to client specifications. The intention of Carnal Circus is to create joy and playfulness, connecting people with one another, forgetting life's woes and to fully enjoy the moment. Laughter, dancing and mischief!

The show has an arch that often begins with the song, NATURE BOY. "The greatest thing you will ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return", lyrics from NATURE BOY, succinctly set the tone of the show.
There are various theatrical elements that can be a part of the show ending with a dance party to 1970s covers.

BAND MEMBER BIOS
Shon Sullivan - Keyboards, Banjo & Guitar, is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter from Diamond Bar known for his band, Goldenboy. Sullivan has worked with Elliot Smith, Neil Finn, Eels, The Rentals, Spain, Johnny Marr, and The Watson Twins to name a few.

Pierre Smith - Guitar, began his musical career at age of 13 as a protégé of Richard "Bumps" Blackwell, Little Richard's co-writer and producer. After receiving a degree in music from UC Berkeley, Pierre spent 3 years conducting the Arroyo Chamber Orchestra in Pasadena, California before returning to rock music. He has recorded or played live with many artists including, Rufus Wainwright, Prince Poppycock, Phranc Folksinger, Ann Magnuson, Human Hands, Voice of the Beehive, Kristian Hoffman and New Marines (of which he was a founding member). Additionally, Pierre has toured with the show, El Vez since 1995 performing in nearly 1400 shows with this international music phenomena.

Chris Camacho - Upright Bass, a Los Angeles native has been performing music for most of his life. His musical accomplishments span the LA Punk Rock scene to Performance Art & Poetry to Jazz as well as RnB. Upright and Electric Bassist session and live work includes; The Snakes (BOMP!/Committee to Keep Music Evil), The Brat, Curtis Harding (Anti-Records), Elle King (RCA), Bell Gardens (Rocket Girl) Forest For The Trees (DGC/Dreamworks), LA's Bloom and Fuzzy Doodah (Featuring LA Poet Laureate, Rich Ferguson) and El Vez (Robert Lopez's Mexican Elvis).

Lisa Moncure - Vocals, has worked as an actor for decades. Her Carnal Circus persona aka The Contessa was developed over the past 5 years through Homela, an experimental dance company, The Electric Lodge's High Voltage series and Helene Udy's monthly variety show, Was Ist Das. Favorite acting gigs include; Pretty Village Pretty Flame, a satire on war, shot in the Balkans during the war in 1995, The Decay of Fiction, a film by experimental filmmaker, Pat O'Neil, filmed at the now demolished, Ambassador Hotel; and in theater, the international tour of Carnage; A Comedy with Tim Robbins, Lee Arenberg, Cynthia Ettinger, Jack Black and Kyle Gass (Tenancious D). Also of note, Moncure produced and directed the film Drought, selected for the 2000 Cannes Film Festival. She has written poetry throughout life and has turned this poetry into songs for Carnal Circus.
