Carl's Caricatures

First I'll touch base with you by email or phone to go over any questions and confirm details for the location and parking. Then on the day of the event, I'll arrive roughly 30 mins in advance to set up my station, and begin drawing guests from the start time until however long I've been hired.

If you decide you'd like me to stay longer, I usually can accommodate that for the same hourly rate.

I've been doing caricatures for over two decades and drawing my whole life. I started caricatures at Six Flags New England in Western Massachusetts, then continued my work at a wide range of events including Weddings, Birthdays, Company Picnics, Sweet Sixteens, Bar Mitzvahs and School Fairs. Since then I've taken my trade to the Pacific Northwest where I've drawn throughout the Puget Sound area.

I pride myself in drawing a real likeness of my model, and not just making a "generic-cature."

*Covid related note* I can state that I am fully vaccinated, boosted, and can fully mask during your event. I take covid precautions seriously and am happy to take steps to assure your event is both Safe and fun.

I have a very simple set up: all I really need to work is a designated spot to set up, preferably somewhere with at least a moderate amount of light (enough to see my models and my paper)

I bring my own chair and drawing table, but I require at least two chairs for guests when I draw them, and a small side table to set my supplies (a third chair will also do in a pinch)
