Seth grew up on a rural farm an hour north of Seattle, Washington giving him plenty of time to use his imagination for acting out the stories in his head and also teach himself a variety of musical instruments. From a young age, he was on the stage performing as a vocalist, instrumentalist, and actor at his church and school. Multiple vocal awards and invitations were given to him throughout high school which encouraged him to pursue undergrad studies in music and conducting. Upon graduating, he moved to New York to pursue a master's degree in orchestral conducting, studying with the famed conductor, Harold Farbermann, at the Bard Conservatory of Music.

After graduating with honors, he moved back to the greater Seattle area and founded the Capital Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus, developing it from an all-volunteer group in its first year to a fully-paid professional group in its fifth year with a substantially growing budget.

In 2010, he was asked to join the staff of one of the fastest-growing churches in America, helping them reset their music and arts departments and became one of the lead pastors in less than a year. Five years later, he planted his own church in Olympia, Washington spending the next seven years developing leaders and growing the church in every facet.

After handing the growing church over to the leaders he had raised, he founded HaltingWinter, a coaching and consulting company focused on helping growing businesses install and optimize frameworks to ensure healthy and continued growth. After working with a number of businesses and coaching corporate executives, he turned his attention to writing and delivering keynotes and workshops focused on elevating the employee experience.

Seth is passionate about creating workplaces where burnout and quiet-quitting do not exist and where people feel valued and inspired to find joy and meaning with the work they provide.
