Candace | Tarot Witch

I will arrive about 10-15 minutes before I am to start reading, to greet the host or event organizer(s) and get myself set up. My set up is quick and simple! I will be ready to read in minutes.

Usually at a table tucked into the side or the back of the party, your guests can have a unique, personalized, and interactive magical experience. People I read for usually head back into the party beaming, feeling validated, purposeful, and well-loved!

I can also wander about and thread my way through the crowds, offering light, mobile readings to guests throughout the space.

For large events with many guests, readings are usually 5 to 10 minutes per person, so that there will be opportunity for everyone to have a magical tarot experience!

At smaller, more intimate parties and gatherings, readings can be longer, allowing us to go a bit deeper, and for the advice to be that much more insightful. These are often 20 minutes or so per person, depending on your wishes.

All this can be adapted to fit your vision for your event!

Private online one-on-one tarot card readings are also available, for the seeker who wishes to take a deep dive with me, and sink richly into the experience. These are usually 1 hour sessions, and can be longer upon request.

Enchanted by the tarot cards for twenty-eight years, Candace has been reading tarot professionally for a well over a decade, offering in-person and online readings for individuals and special events: corporate functions, work events, private parties, markets, etc.

A lifelong artist, Candace is classically trained and, in university, explored her subconscious mind through art creation, earning herself an honours degree in fine art. She went on to study healing arts and became a certified holistic nutritionist with a special love for ancestral food ways, kitchen witchery, and herbal medicine. She has gone on to become a teacher to others on this path.

Candace brings her creative sensibility, understanding of visual symbolism, and skills as a wellness support person to her tarot approach, providing a therapeutic experience that encourages clients to live their best and healthiest life. She can offer nutritional and herbal medicine suggestions as well as soul-homework based on a given reading.

Candace has been tracking her dreams since childhood, and uses the information she gleans there to guide herself forward, and teaches others how to do the same. She has hosted dream-sharing events and facilitated circles, group rituals, and other community gatherings, in support of deep inner-work, earth connection, mutual care, and spiritual nourishment.

Candace brings the gifts and wisdom she has developed from all her previous experiences to the tarot table, uplifting and guiding others in their healing and spiritual journeys. She also brings awareness of and sensitivity towards marginalized ways of being, and can offer trauma-informed readings through a queer, crip, and neurodivergent lens. She is committed to supporting the total wellbeing of others.

An insatiable student of life, she continues her lifelong learning about plants and plant medicines, tarot, dreams, astrology, numerology, earth magic, wellness, food as medicine, storytelling, visual art, poetry, music making, grief and trauma support, anti-oppression, intersectional environmentalism, queer ecology, earth-based spirituality, and the magic of her lineage as a Celtic witchy woman.

All I need is a small table and two chairs.
These are preferably set away from the crowd, in a quieter and more private area of your event.

Dim lighting provides the best ambiance for tarot, but it is also important that the cards be visible.

OPTIONAL: If candles are appropriate for your event space, they add an excellent touch.
If they are the sole source of light, there should be several of them (at least 4) and they must be at least a few inches tall (ie not all tea lights), so that they throw light over all the cards.
