I was at a workshop where Calvin Roberson presented. His presentation was very profound. I liked that he was able to touch and bring out almost every emotion in me. When I left the workshop, I felt better about myself and the possibilities that lay ahead. I would hire Calvin for any event that I plan. He was also very striking, dressed in a nice suit and bowtie. and his personality definitely matched his looks. Hire Him, He's Worth It!

Calvin was asked to speak at our organizational meeting. We hired him based on his reputation as a public speaker and some personal contacts. He was excellent! He was sharply dressed, poised, articulate and engaging. He not only motivated us, but gave practical tools on how to change our thinking to achieve our personal and organizational goals. His dynamic presentation kept our attention during the entire 45 minute presentation. He was also easy to talk to after the presentation and stayed around to speak with a number of us. His message was the topic of conversation at many subsequent meetings. Calvin is a witty, funny, and timely speaker who tailored his speech for our particular setting. He was also reasonably priced. Often people mention to me about the great and inspiring meeting we had on that day, Cal Roberson gets the credit.

We hired him based solely on a word of mouth recommendation, he was excellent. He was the Mastor of Ceremonies for my daughter's wedding reception; us being a religious people we were a little weary about hiring someone outside of our church, but he calmed all our fears and insecurities. Calvin was witty, funny, timely, appropriate for the setting and people and priced right. Often people mention to me about the good time they had at the reception, Calvin Roberson gets the credit.

What to expect

Calvin's Messages of Hope and Success Take His Audiences on an Emotional Roller Coaster Ride, Guiding Them to a Destination Where They Not Only Believe They Can Accomplish The Impossible, They Know How to Extract the Power Within Themselves To Do So.

About

Calvin N. Roberson grew up in a small town in Southern Virginia where the expectations for young black men were mediocre at best. He had a great relationship with his three brothers and one sister. They often told him, in a less than eloquent way, that his intense desire to be heard, would pay off one day. Though Calvin's family was rich in spirit, monetarily, they were very poor. His mom worked as a maid for less than minimum wage to raise him and his four siblings. And his lifestyle was such that; choices of living environment ranged from the "bad" projects to the "good" projects. So, it was no surprise that Calvin's high school teacher tried to deter him from pursuing college for the assumption that he was not smart enough. But even as young boy, Calvin was blessed to understand and grasp the power that lay within him. unlike many of his peers who believed and received their teacher's sentiments of mediocrity for their lives, Calvin thrived against the odds and went on to achieve many great accomplishments.

Calvin graduated from Oakwood University with a B.A. He went on to Andrews University where he attained a Masters degree, and at the age of 24, began his professional journey of speaking power and success into the lives of others. Calvin completed all but his dissertation for a doctoral program at Ashland University. In his quest to find his niche, Calvin has held various prominent positions in different industries. He served as a Licensed Investment Executive at J.C. Bradford & Co., National City Investments and Salomon Smith Barney. He later became Vice President at 1st Tennessee Bank in Nashville. He was later recruited for the position of Regional Vice President at US Allianz, and international Investment firm. After his stead in the investment industry, he accepted the position of Dean of Arts at the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington D.C.

Calvin has always been actively involved in family life and personal empowerment. His passion is to teach people how to get and give the best of themselves. Calvin possesses the unique ability to disarm tension and makes a profound impact wherever he goes. In Charlottesville, VA., he instituted a successful student mentoring program in the public schools. While in Washington DC, he developed an award winning M.O.N.E.Y. program and worked with the YMCA to help others understand the concept of investments. In Akron, OH, he initiated a faith-based program called Friday Nite F.I.Y.A.H (faithfully inspired youth achieving holiness) where young people were encouraged to express their Christian freedom. Throughout his career, Calvin has counseled countless couples and individuals, and, as a result inspired great changes in their lives.

Calvin not only inspires others but he is also inspired by life's events. After donating a kidney to his beloved sister, Mary, complications caused the kidney to fail. She subsequently succumbed to her illness. Her passing motivated him to establish the African American Kidney Association. It's aim is to help in the understanding and prevention of kidney disease. He is also founder of Family Covenant Ministries where he and his wife are actively involved in the empowerment of families around the country through their "Marriage Vows" marriage conference ministry. After much prompting by professional peers, in 2011 Calvin will be launching his latest brainchild, Podium Perfect, a speakers training and bureau, that includes some of the best and the brightest public speakers that he has encountered in his very successful and colorful career.

Calvin is married to his soulmate, Wendy, and they have three beautiful children, Calvin II., Andrew, and Khloe. Calvin thrives on the successes of great relationships and devotes his live to motivating, activating and empowering others to do the same.
