This is how I operate at a typical wedding:
1. Arrive to the location where wedding party gets ready, shoot candid photos of process + detail shots of dress, shoes, rings, wedding stationary, sentimental items, etc.
2. If the couple would like to do a "first look," I recommend it at this point, either at the getting ready location or ceremony location. (I only need about 15-20 minutes to do this, depending on what the couple has in mind.)
2. Arrive to ceremony location, shoot location / decor details and prepare for ceremony start.
3. Shoot ceremony. Key moments: wedding party / family members / bride walking down the aisle, groom reaction shot, vows, ring exchange, first kiss, guest and family reaction shots, aisle exit.
4. Remain at ceremony location, shoot wedding party photos + any family or other group photos at request of the couple (only need about 20-30 minutes for this). Guests and wedding party move on to reception location, I stay behind with the couple to photograph them together (only need about 15 minutes for this).
5. Arrive to reception location, shoot location / decor / food details. If the couple hasn't arrived yet, this is when I would usually start walking amongst guests, asking if groups if they'd like pictures together.
6. Shoot reception. Key moments: couple arrival, first dance, any other featured dances, toasts, cake cutting, bouquet and garter tosses, candid shots of guests and couple dancing.
7. Arrive to final location to photograph "grand exit."

I will send 2-3 sneak peeks on the evening of or morning after the wedding. Within two weeks, I will edit and send the rest of your digital photos (usually up to 150 photos depending on the length of your wedding).

In my 10 years as a professional photographer, I have learned that my obsessive eye for detail, desire for simplicity, and love of spontaneity are a perfect recipe for beautiful wedding photography. As your photographer, I can assure you that I'll make your day easier, not harder. I will be there to capture every important moment, and I'll do it without getting in the way. When you see your photos, you'll see that the beauty of your love shines through them.

I like to keep it simple, shooting mostly with one camera and one lens, and one strobe/flash device when needed. I have backups for all my equipment.
