About

Steven Pivnik is a serial entrepreneur, best-selling author, and endurance athlete whose life story bridges boardrooms and mountaintops. As the former co-founder and CEO of Binary Tree, a software and services firm with over 200 employees across 12 countries, Steven spent over two decades building a business that ultimately achieved a successful exit through acquisition by a Fortune 500 company.

But Steven's story is about more than just business success—it's about stamina, vision, and grit. He has completed more than 20 triathlons, several ultramarathons, and is climbing the Seven Summits, the tallest peaks on each continent. This unique blend of business acumen and extreme endurance fuels his powerful keynote, “Built to Finish: How to Go the Distance in Business & in Life.”

In his talks, Steven distills his decades of hard-won insights into practical, actionable strategies for entrepreneurs, business leaders, and high-performing teams. His message is clear: if you want your business to thrive and eventually sell, you must build it to operate—and succeed—without you. Through a mix of storytelling, humor, and strategic advice, Steven challenges audiences to step back, assess where their company stands today, and take bold steps toward building a resilient, transferable, and high-value business.

Steven’s keynote is ideal for conferences, leadership offsites, entrepreneurial organizations, and team summits. He covers themes such as:

-Scaling sustainably without burning out
-Building systems that run without the founder
-Delegating with purpose and trust
-Leading through adversity
-How endurance sports mirror the entrepreneurial journey
-Preparing for successful exits and long-term legacy

Whether he’s speaking to a room of Fortune 500 executives or startup founders, Steven’s talks are authentic, energizing, and deeply grounded in lived experience. His journey proves that success isn’t just about starting strong—it’s about finishing stronger.

When he’s not on stage or climbing mountains, Steven advises founders on exit planning and business growth, and continues to pursue new personal challenges—always looking for the next summit to scale.
