About
I've read tarot and written poems for decades, and now combine the two as a fun service for weddings, parties, art gallery openings, markets, and corporate events. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, I’ve also lived in London, U.K., and have been very pleased to call Portland, Oregon home for 16 years.
I’ve had a long career as a freelance writer, and enjoy connecting with my creative colleagues and customers alike via poems. Who says an MA in Creative Writing can’t be practical? ;)
Now I offer custom tarot poems—typed up while you wait, on a vintage Hermes 3000!—for those who seek a meaningful yet entertaining experience + a nice keepsake to cherish. Let’s find out if there’s a poem in your future!

Influences and inspiration
I use the beautiful, accessible, non-denominational Enchanted Tarot deck, and draw on Jessica Dore’s phenomenal book Tarot for Change, for her empathetic and eclectic view of how tarot can help guide our everyday lives. With these influences in play, you can expect a tarot poeming session that is both meaningful and entertaining.
My poetic influences are wide-ranging; they include my cherished colleagues in local workshops and poetry performances as well as Wislawa Symborska, Sylvia Plath, Anne Sexton, Brenda Marie Osbey, Rita Dove, and more.
I also hold a BA and MA in creative writing, and complete my MA program at University of East Anglia under the auspices of a Fulbright Grant.
Setup requirements
I bring my own equipment, and just need a space of about 6’x6’ to set up :)
