"Perhaps the most difficult task a standup comic can take on is empathizing with an audience and coming up with thirty minutes of clean standup comedy that avoids being bland or boring," he said in a recent interview from Las Vegas. "I like to think that I've achieved that and then some. I've been compared to Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg and Jackie Vernon. I am flattered by such comparisons. I pride myself on offering something that is unique and also accessible."
Brian McKim is a 30+-year veteran of the standup comedy world. He's performed in all 50 states and 3 Canadian provinces. His comedy has entertained people in all settings-- comedy clubs, nightclubs, casino theaters, cruise ships, private parties, corporate events-- and he's been seen on dozens of cable and network television shows on NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, A&E, VH-1 and Lifetime. His comedy is featured on XM/Sirius satellite radio, and he's appeared on the nationally-syndicated "Bob & Tom Show."
He was recently featured in two episodes of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" and was a featured performer on CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson."
His clean, clever material is devoid of political references but packed full of fun, absurdity and hilarity. He's perfect for a corporate gathering, an awards banquet, a comedy roast or a customer appreciation night.
I'm a standup comic who has done standup on land, at sea, in a suit, outdoors, indoors, on a stage, on the floor, in a 1,000-seat theater, in a room that only holds 50.
I only need a microphone, a decent sound system, enough light so the folks in the back of the house can see me and everyone's attention.

I have been compared to Steven Wright, Mitch Hedberg and Jackie Vernon. I am an interesting combination of dry, goofy, absurdist and traditional. I am, I like to think, broadly appealing. I perform the majority of my dates in a suit (no tie, but I can accomodate you), but I can bring a tux, I can dress down, I can wear a banana suit (if the money is good enough). I am "old-school," yet I am as contemporary as it gets. I've been working on sets for television, which, depending on the network/outlet, require material that is PG- or G-rated. I can adjust from G all the way up to what is known as "Hard R." I know the difference and I deliver.
