Greg “G” Williams is working diligently to be a breath of fresh air by taking a different path into the world of comedy. His comedic style arises from his day to day life as a male nurse. After discovering life in a hospital can be hilariously entertaining, “G” developed his act in the comedy clubs of Atlanta. Now a resident of California he continuously polishes his act From L.A, to Sacramento.
"G" has performed in over 10 comedy festivals across the country, has a set on HULU and runs his own monthly show at The San Jose Improv call "Nurse's Night Out. You love his act because it is clean, personal and different from the ordinary.
Greg was engaging and funny and I definitely will hire him for any future entertainment purposes!
In my first review I mentioned all the positives. Here are the negatives. He didn't congratulate the bride and groom. He stuck to his Raiders joke even if no one was into football or the Raiders when he set it up. When no one laughed at some jokes, he said "it's a joke, people." He should have asked where guests were from - they flew in from all over- to get them engaged when he lost them. He turned to me after 15 mins. and said, I know we started late. How much time do we have left. Brides don't wear watches. I said 5 mins even though the deal was 30 mins. He did ask if there was any topic I wanted to cover right after the deal was sealed, but was less responsive after that. A bride has a lot of details to manage, and this bride did not think it was necessary to micromanage and prep the act.
For the positives, see my earlier review.
I really liked Greg. He was early for my wedding, communicative and very professional. He brought his own equipment, and had good delivery and stage presence. He also spoke to his audience, and got them to respond to his questions. I guess some of my guests don't share my sense of humour, though. I give him four-stars for effort. But I would say that there should be more material for a half hour gig. His material was about 10-15 minutes tops. I also mentioned I wanted a toast at the end, which would have boosted the energy level in the room.
Greg was refreshingly funny, had the nurses laughing and used appropriate language for the administration team even though they stuffed shirts. We had fun.
Greg "G" is a brilliant comedian. I appreciate the fact that he involved the audience in his performance. He has a great demeanor about him & he made us have a great time in laughter. I was pleased with the reliability of the service, and the overall experience. Two thumbs up!! 👍🏽 👍🏽
Greg did a stand-up show for a professional event. He has a very natural style. Told jokes on a range of topics. Nice job.
Greg is a very talented comic who gave us a phenomenal show. His material was very appropriate and extremely funny. During his performance he was able to cater to the audience in a way that caught everyone's attention. I was stunned at his performance and there is no doubt in my mind that I would hire him again for another event. Thank you for a great time.
Greg was excellent!
The group loved him.
He kept everyone laughing.
Great professional performer!
Greg performed in a Xmas holiday extravaganza for a local organization. He was entertaining and yet professional.
He was resourceful too since we had a microphone issue. He was able to bring in audio equipment emergently prior to his performance.
After our preview of Greg’s videos on Youtube that brought great reviews, we knew right away that he is the comedian that will draw more people to our event. Good thing we booked him EARLY! Hence, the venue we reserved turned out to be too small for the big crowd that showed up. Greg made the crowd swooned over his comedic acts. His material is ingenious and universally relatable. The content is morally upright yet spontaneous that left a boisterous crowd of professionals “laughing to their knees.” Needless to say, he turned out to be the highlight of our event. In person Greg “G” Williams is very cordial, courteous and professional. Greg’s wittiness is exceptionally entertaining!
I had Greg on several shows. He is Funny , professional , and a great writer. He handled the crowds at my events masterfully and was a joy to work with. I will hire Greg again and again..
