Marine Reunion

Hired Bobby to "fill in" for me since I couldn't attend my husband's event. Everyone enjoyed his "comedy gram" and my husband was very surprised! If Bobby can entertain a room full of Marine vets, he can do it all.

About

Comedian B Smitty
Bobby Smith, better known as Comedian B Smitty, is a powerhouse in the world of comedy, blending sharp storytelling with unfiltered humor that resonates with audiences everywhere. A stand-up veteran, comedy club owner, and entrepreneur, B Smitty has spent years perfecting his craft while building platforms for comedians to shine.

Born with a natural gift for making people laugh, B Smitty first hit the comedy scene in his late teens. Encouraged by a high school teacher who saw his potential, he took the stage and never looked back. Over the years, he has performed alongside some of the biggest names in comedy, delivering a signature style that’s a mix of real-life struggles, unexpected twists, and straight-up hilarious observations.

Not just a performer, B Smitty is also the owner of Upstage Comedy Lounge, the first Black-owned comedy club in San Antonio, TX. Through this venture, he has provided a home for rising talent and a space for raw, authentic comedy. His journey as a club owner has become a major part of his story, inspiring his Journal of a Comedy Club Owner series, which takes audiences behind the scenes of running a comedy venue—dealing with comics, customers, business challenges, and of course, the IRS.

A true creative force, B Smitty doesn’t just stop at stand-up. He is the founder of multiple festivals, including the FemComedy Fiesta, a platform highlighting female comedians, and San Antonio Story Fest, a celebration of storytelling through comedy, spoken word, and theatrical monologues. He’s also the mastermind behind sketch comedy shows like Funny Against the World and You Can’t Right This, blending digital and live performances.

B Smitty’s humor is rooted in truth, touching on everything from entrepreneurship and taxes to relationships and cultural nuances. His upcoming one-man show, Damage Control 3, will take audiences on a hilarious yet insightful journey through the highs and lows of business ownership.

With a relentless work ethic and a mission to bring laughter to as many people as possible, Comedian B Smitty is not just telling jokes—he’s building an empire. Whether on stage, behind the scenes, or creating content for the next generation of comics, B Smitty’s influence continues to grow, proving that comedy is more than just laughs—it’s a movement.
