I play jazz trumpet and sing on 40s 50s and 60s standards. I can use backing tracks for the cost conscious, or a band for larger events. My music and presence are polished and tasteful, I can be main stage or provide musical background ambiance. If you book me, you will receive a quality, professional jazz experience.
Wow, we had a great time at Speranza Restaurant in Westville listening to Bob Stankard, who sings beautifully and accompanies himself on trumpet and guitar. I felt like we were back in the 50's with his renditions of "Summer Wind" and "Witchcraft." I especially liked the Bobby Darin renditions of "Mack the Knife" and "Beyond the Sea." I will be on the lookout for more performances from Bob.

What to Expect
I consider myself a crooner and a traditional purist. As much as possible, I recreate the look and sound of the entertainers from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Singing alone (or with my band), I am very polished and professional. There are no egos here. I listen carefully to my customers wishes for ambiance and mood and will be flexible to create just the right atmosphere for your event or party. My goal is for you to meet your expectations for a great experience.
Jazz was my first love in high school band where I was 1st trumpet and played in the dance-band. In the 70s I grew my hair long and was a front man - vocalist in a band that played classic rock, appearing at some of the biggest rock clubs in the Philly area and also down the shore. In my older years, my musical tastes have drifted back to Mile Davis, John Coltrane, McCoy Tyner, Wes Montgomery, and Chet Baker to name a few. I cover quite a few Chet Baker songs on trumpet, which is one of my favorite musical experiences. As for singing, Sinatra is certainly a mainstay as well as many of the other greats.
