Variety!!! We are a group of professionals in eastern Iowa sharing our love for jazz and blues. The group: female vocalist, electric and upright bass, guitar, drums, trumpet, keyboard, and various woodwinds. Our set list varies from traditional jazz standards such as Take the A Train and Minnie the Moocher to ballads such as Summertime and Crazy; We also have a strong jazz instrumentals playlist featuring tunes like Woodchoppers and Pick up the Pieces. We would be happy to learn favorite request songs for your event.
We have played a variety of venues including restaurants, breweries, city celebrations, wineries, coffee houses, weddings and private parties.

November 7, 2023This band was a lot of fun and very professional! We got lots of compliments from our guests and staff/volunteers. The band was accommodating before the event and even helped our volunteers move our decor to a location that wouldn't be covered up by the band. We were very happy to have them at our event and would have them back in a heartbeat!

November 8, 2020Bluetone Jazz Collective was very easy to work with and helpful in providing song suggestions. They learned a special song for our first dance and even offered to emcee the night. They played a great mix of up beat and romantic songs that everyone could dance to. The music was the perfect volume so we could still hear everyone while talking, even with masks on. So many guests commented on how great the band was. Everyone in the band was so friendly and approachable. We would absolutely recommend them!

Live jazz that can be tailored for quiet background jazz, featured concert, or targeted for dance groups. We can provide anywhere from 3-7 musicians depending on your specific event. We also help promote the events utilizing Facebook promotions and shared event calendars.
The Bluetone Jazz collective is made up of a diverse group of professionals from Northeast Iowa. Our members are a diverse group of professionals all from Eastern Iowa. As a group we bring our individual tastes and talents to form a unique blend of songs from the Classic jazz, blues, and unique arrangements of contemporary popular music.
This unique blend of music allows the Bluetone Jazz Collective to tailor music to a variety of venues and private parties.
We bring all our own sound board, speakers, and lighting. We use mostly wireless to eliminate cords and cables as much as possible. There are normally 6 of us so we need an area large enough to accommodate that. Otherwise we can book a smaller trio.
