I am a steel drum player and composer with 40 years of experience performing for all types of events and special occasions. My wife and I perform over 200 songs with a Caribbean island feel including calypso favorites, bossa novas, pop hits, classic reggae and some original music, all with professionally recorded background tracks.
We have played many special events in the Naples area since moving to Florida in 2023. In addition to special events, Tropical Shores has played regularly at the Miramar outlets and Rooftop in Bonita Springs.

April 30, 2024Was the perfect entertainment during our happy hour for our community luau. He communicated well during the booking process, arrived promptly and even stayed to help out the hula dancers when their sound system quit working. His music entertained while people were in line to get in and set the tone for a very fun luau. I would have no hesitations in booking him again!

Today's Tropical Shores Steel Drums features Brad and Erica Shores performing a vibrant "island jazz" sound. Brad plays lead steel pan and keyboard while Erica plays the double seconds steel pan drums. They love to play for any kind of an event where an "Island atmosphere" would add to the party. They also enjoy doing educational programs using "edutainment" which is a combination of music and education about the steel pan drum. Tropical Shores Steel drums is now based in Estero, Florida.
Brad Shores has been playing the steel drum for audiences of all ages since 1986. His blend of Caribbean island jazz music will add "that island feeling" to any occasion. He has been a music educator in the public schools since 1985 and then transitioned to teaching at the college level. Brad teaches steel drum, percussion, violin, music theory, and drum line classes. Erica is a former music educator, current special educator, and has been a musician all of her life. In 2023 Brad and his wife, Erica, moved to Estero, Fl where they regularly perform at both public and private events.
