Overview
My show is more than just a show. I use magic as a platform to promote a "Never Give Up" attitude. I was a homeless alcoholic in 2001. I became ill and my body could not fight it off. I was put on a Life Flight and my family was called and told I had very little chance of survival. My heart stopped beating at least three times. I survived, after spending 58 days in the hospital I was released. The doctors call it a miracle, I believe the Good Lord saved me for a reason.
So, I use my show to encourage everyone that no matter how bad things can be there is hope. I incorporate comedy and illusion. I am a Christian, I don't preach. I do encourage hope.

Dick of Blathmac, the Magic Man, was outstanding at our 65th birthday party. He is an excellent performer—personable, genuinely funny, and very engaging. My science club students loved the performance. Blathmac (Dick) was able to grab their attention and keep it for the entire time he was there. The students loved the beginning illusion portion, but loved the live animals even more. They got to learn about and interact with different reptiles and even a few mammals. Thanks for doing such an great performance.

Either one hour of magic or one hour of reptiles, or a mix of both; it is your choice.
About
Blathmac was born in 1959 the youngest of four children. He lives in the home he was raised in as a child. He has always loved shock factor and thrill! He raced motorcycles for many years as a younger man and had a huge desire for anything dangerous. Unfortunately, as time went on Blathmac got involved with alcohol and it became the center of his life. In 2001 Blathmac became terribly ill and nearly lost his life. Blathmac gives God all the credit for his survival. Now he delivers a message with his shows... a message of hope and never giving up on life. Blathmac loves people and encourages audience participation. He loves comedy and feeds on the joy of his audience.
Additional booking notes
Indoor shows are best; wind makes it difficult to maintain props.
Blathmac brings his own table and prefers to have his back to a wall.
He also has a small sound system if necessary.

Blathmac has hundreds of illusions to choose from when he packs up for a show and he puts great effort in choosing the best tricks for the age group.
Reptiles include: box turtle, tortoise, leopard gecko, bearded dragon, corn snake, California king snake, carpet python, and a few others.
Influences and inspiration
Blathmac was always inspired by David Copperfield in the past. Currently Rick Lax is his favorite and inspires him the most.
