They were wonderful!! They played for our family reunion and we are definitely having them back next year!
Played in the rain for us! Great Job, sound system is excellent. Very nice guys, young mans guitar playing is very impressive.
Response from Black Diamond:
I would like to thank all the fine people at Road Kill Cafe for the good hospitality and making the best of a bad weather day. Hope to be asked to play there again sometime.
Price Range: $400-$750 (based on distance and Venue)
Gig Length: 45 - 150 minutes
Music:
We always try our very best to provide people with the most music for their money. Our average gigs usually run 2 hours long, sometimes with a five minute break between sets halfway through. We play traditional bluegrass music and a few classic country songs by artists such as Merle Haggard and Johnny Russell. We also play traditional bluegrass gospel, and frequently play at various church picnics and regular services. We have a large repertoire of over 75 songs and feature dazzling guitar solos, a driving banjo, and a steady bass. We value the sounds of vocal harmonies and incorporate them into our songs either as duos, three part, or four part harmonies.
Payment and Logistics:
Our rates are anywhere from $400-$750 depending on the venue and distance. Because of the price of fuel and distance, sometimes we charge extra to cover our expenses. When playing at church venues, we typically play for a love offering or whatever the church has in mind as payment just to pay for fuel. We are willing to travel within 5 hours or so as long as there is adequate pay to cover our traveling expenses.
As a band, our main goal is to have fun and put a smile on other people's faces by sharing our passion of bluegrass music. At the end of the day, we are in it for the music and the people.
