BJ Griffin is a Detroit-born, Virginia-raised global entertainer and visionary artist whose music defies genre boundaries. A genre-defying singer and electric cellist, BJ’s unique artistry is rooted in his early years with the Virginia Youth Symphony Orchestra, where he performed internationally in China and Greece. He later triple-majored in music education, cello performance, and music industry at James Madison University, honing the unique fusion of classical technique and soulful vocals that would become his signature.

Having circumnavigated the globe performing, BJ’s career is marked by high-profile collaborations and electrifying stage presence. He has shared stages with icons including Ms. Lauryn Hill, Lionel Richie, and Erykah Badu, while appearing at prestigious venues from the Voll-Damm International Jazz Festival in Barcelona to The NAMM Show. In 2023, his national profile skyrocketed with a featured performance on America’s Got Talent, and his powerful stage presence has electrified audiences from the Virginia Symphony Orchestra to, most recently, an NBA halftime show for the New Orleans Pelicans.

With the release of his debut studio album, Elements, on September 19, 2025, and a tour underway, BJ Griffin is a world-class entertainer with a proven track record and a clear trajectory for continued global success.

Stage: Ideal stage size is 16’ x 24’ for full band performances, but we are flexible and can adapt to smaller spaces, including solo and duo setups.

Sound: Professional PA system suitable for the venue size. Minimum requirements include vocal microphones, DI inputs for electric cello and tracks, and a monitor system (wedges or in-ears preferred).

Power: Standard electrical access (multiple outlets) near performance area.

Setup: Load-in and soundcheck time typically 60–90 minutes depending on ensemble size.

Lighting: Basic stage lighting is sufficient; professional event lighting is preferred for larger performances.

Personnel: Setup varies from solo (BJ Griffin) to full band. Final details will be confirmed in advance.

Additional: DJ or playback capability may be required for select performances. Backline and production needs can be discussed based on event scale.
