With this whole situation (and when it is over), I offer virtual storytelling shows for all occasions! I can do a virtual show for your preschool or elementary families, your organization or your child's birthday party! We can do the show live via Zoom or I can record a show and send it to you for distribution!

Great!

Funny guy who was able to keep the a big bunch of 7 year old's laughing and participating! Teenage brothers and cousins also loved it and watched the whole show, chuckling in the background.
The 7 year old Birthday girl said she loved Big Joe and his stories more than the water slide bouncy house we had as entertainment during the party as well 😊(that says a lot!)

Excellent show!

Thank you, Joe, for an awesome puppet show!! The kids, ages 3-7, were captivated for 45 minutes. They were all laughing hysterically and it made our son’s birthday party an absolute success!! I highly recommend Joe as a child entertainer.

Funny and engaging!

Big Joe did a wonderful show for our group of ~10 kids. Age range was 1-7 and the older kids were laughing and really playing along and talking back, while the littler kids were giggling and following along. The adults at our event were happy for the break and found Big Joe's show to be entertaining too. Communication was great and I would definitely hire him again.

What to expect

I have stories for all ages and occasions. Whatever type of event you are planning I will have stories for it. I can do both education and entertainment venues, and will have a storytelling show that will entertain everyone. The stories I tell are a mix of original, classic, and multicultural tales. During my show I use puppets and props, and there is lots of audience participation. There are less puppets and props involved when I do shows for older kids (elementary grades), young adults and adults, and the show skews more towards traditional oral storytelling. Whatever you are planning, if there are kids (and or adults) looking to be entertained, I have the storytelling show for you!

About

When I was one my parents thought I would never talk. When I was two they thought I would never shut up! I have been telling stories since I could put words together, and I am still doing it now. Got a degree in teaching and taught preschool for 9 years. Told stories to my kids (classics, and a lot I made up on my own) and really enjoyed doing it. Started to tell stories at parties and other events on the side. My bookings increased, and I decided work part time as a teacher in an after school program and part time as a storyteller. In a few years my storytelling business grew and I was able to become a full time storyteller. From 1999 till today I have been telling stories as Big Joe the Storyteller and I have loved every minute of it! I have stories for all ages and all occasions and will work hard to spread the wonder and magic of storytelling!!
