As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit talent collective, our work is grounded in purpose. Every show we deliver is rooted in our mission to support independent artists, uplift creative entrepreneurs, and provide meaningful opportunities for youth, including teens on the autism spectrum and young people navigating adversity. Our performances reflect that sense of purpose: warm, present, intentional, and deeply human.
For live music bookings, audiences can expect a rich blend of soul, jazz, R&B, and atmospheric fusion led by award-winning vocalist Blaque Queen. Our musicians bring a refined sound that may be smooth and elegant for lounges, intimate gatherings, and weddings, or vibrant and energetic for festivals, celebrations, and community events. Performances are flexible, allowing us to match the mood of your event and adapt to your audience’s energy in real time.
For clients booking our actors or performers, expect emotionally grounded storytelling, strong stage presence, and artists who are comfortable in both scripted and improvisational settings. Whether the event calls for narration, character work, spoken word, or theatrical moments, our performers bring authenticity and connection to every stage.
For visual art and live painting, our artists create an engaging experience where guests witness a piece evolve in real time. Their work is expressive, colorful, and tailored to the event’s theme. Event planners can also expect flexibility. We can scale performances up or down depending on your needs from a solo vocalist or single painter to full-band arrangements, ensemble performances, or multiple artists working in collaboration. We are a creative hub representing a diverse team of talent — including musicians, live painters, actors, poets, public speakers, wellness practitioners, and multidisciplinary performers. Because Beyond Frequency offers multiple types of performances through our creative collective, technical requirements may vary depending on the service booked. Below are our general guidelines to ensure a smooth, professional performance experience for all clients.
FOR LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCES (Solo, Duo, or Full Band):
• Performance area of at least 10’ x 8’ for solo/duo, and 15’ x 12’ for full band.
• Access to at least two grounded electrical outlets within 15–20 feet of performance area.
• If the venue does not provide a sound system, we can supply our own PA for an additional equipment fee (quoted during booking).
• Adequate lighting for visibility and safety. Stage lighting is appreciated but not required.
• For outdoor events: shaded or covered performance area to protect instruments and equipment; stable, dry ground; access to power.
• At least 60 minutes for setup and 45 minutes for breakdown.
FOR ACTORS / THEATRICAL PERFORMERS:
• Quiet performance area free of major background noise.
• Clear communication regarding any scripts, cues, or staging requests.
• If microphones are needed, the client should provide equipment unless otherwise arranged.
• If the performance includes movement, we request safe, unobstructed floor space.
FOR PUBLIC SPEAKERS:
• Access to a microphone and basic PA system for audiences larger than 20 people (unless arranged through us).
• Podium or elevated area optional but appreciated.
• Seating arranged so audience can clearly see and hear the speaker.
FOR LIVE PAINTING / VISUAL ARTISTS:
• Stable, well-lit area with at least 6’ x 6’ of space for the artist to set up easel, materials, and workspace.
• Drop cloths to protect the floor (we can provide if requested).
• Access to a nearby water source if the artist is using water-based mediums.
• For outdoor events: covered or shaded area to protect materials from weather conditions.
• Clients may choose to keep the finished artwork or request live auction display if appropriate.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL BOOKINGS:
• Parking access close to the venue for unloading equipment or art supplies.
• A point-of-contact available during setup, performance, and breakdown.
• Meals or drinks provided for bookings over 2 hours (as noted in our profile).
• If the event is more than 20 miles outside Virginia Beach/Norfolk, travel fees apply.
• Clear communication regarding event schedule, run-of-show, and any special requests prior to performance day.
