An energetic stage show unlike any other. B is an MC well-schooled in the tradition of Hip-Hop - and MC means Move the Crowd. Sharp lyrics, banging production, and an artist who is a true professional. And don't worry, there are songs for everyone, from the youngest swag surfer to the oldest head.
Born and bred in Boston, now residing in Baltimore, B.Eveready draws inspiration from wide-ranging influences, from Hip-Hop greats like Nas and B.I.G., to soul legends like Stevie Wonder, James Brown and Marvin Gaye, and everything in between. With family roots in Barbados as well, his music melds the hood and posh places.
Committed to excellence, and meticulous about the music he makes, newcomers can reference Jay-Z, Common, Gangstar, Tupac, Wu Tang, The Roots, Kanye West, and both sides of Black Star (Talib Kweli + Mos Def) to better understand B., his foundation, and his motivation. The sound is a blend of that old school knock, social commentary, and punch lines that'll make you hit the rewind button more than once.
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and a sincere Christian, B's intelligence & faith permeates his music & informs his perspective on the world. In the past, B.Eveready was half of the duo Unknown Prose. In 2004, Unknown Prose's debut album, "Knowteworthy", was released, selling over 3,000 copies. Unkown Prose subsequently performed in many venues on the East Coast, opening for national acts such as Talib Kweli and Jin the MC.
INFO
Now as a solo artist, B.Eveready has recorded or performed with The Last Poets, Cappadonna (of the Wu-Tang Clan), Skyzoo, Torae, Red Cafe, Chen Lo & The Lo Frequency (U.S. State Dept. world music emissaries), Chaundon, Comp (formerly of Def Jam), Sean-Toure (Fat Beats), Daru Jones (Drummer for Jack White & The Stripes), Huli Shallone, Gene Stovall, Scholarman, Breeze Embalm and more.
The tracks from his 2008 "C.P.T." Mixtape, have been downloaded over 10,000 times, and 2011's The "Guns & Butta" EP/Mixtape, 2012's "A Cold Summer's Day" EP, compilation album "#INeedAManager" (2012), and the "#GrindSeason" EP (2015) have all been well received by critics and fans alike. B is now focused on dropping his new project, "#GS2". B. wouldn’t be an emcee if he didn’t consider himself one of the greats. He is working to emulate what the legends before him have done. Whether he reaches that point is in God’s hands, but that’s what he’s shooting for. Once established, he hopes to write for and develop the next generation of artists. With B., what you see is what you get. The music tells you everything you need to know.
Welcolme to the future.
