From a trio to a quintet my group plays traditional jazz, blues, classic rock and more eclectic types of music. We have performed for corporate events, fundraisers, private parties and a few weddings, as well as many public concerts and clubs in the Cape Cod region.

My bandmates and I provide a professional experience for hosts and event planners. We will have details worked out ahead of time, the band will arrive on time and conduct themselves professionally during the course of the event. We love to share our music and want the organizers and participants to have the best experience possible.
Guitarist and composer Bert Jackson is influenced by the adventurousness of John McLaughlin, the groove of Wes Montgomery, and the passion of British Blues greats like Eric Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylor. While sophisticated, his playing is approachable, fun, and always a little outside the norm.
The Bert Jackson Quartet (BJQ) plays jazz standards and originals. They have played clubs, events and concerts since 2012. Bert's and Roe's compositions are an integral part of the band's sound. The group released Imaginary Journey in 2013, and Light of the Son in 2020
Bert stays rooted in his love for 1960s rock and blues acts like John Mayall, Cream, The Who, and Jimi Hendrix with Wicked Blue. Mixed in with some latin Samba and funk, the band delivers a big sound for dancing and grooving.
For most events we will provide our own equipment, access to power will be the only requirement. If playing at a venue or event with a back line and house sound equipment, we will work with you to determine what is needed.
