BENJI & Their Orchestra

BENJI's orchestra consists of:
- 1 Vocalist
- 1 Guitarist
- 1 Bassist
- 1 Drummer
- 1 Pianist

All equipment will be provided by the artist

Multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, lyricist, composer, producer, dancer, model, and entrepreneur, BENJI is a teenager from Princeton, NJ, modernizing styles from the past (such as jazz and classical music), giving the original roots of music a platform once again.

BENJI is a current senior at the nation’s premier boarding arts high school, Interlochen Arts Academy, studying Interdisciplinary Arts with a concentration in Music Business. With plans to continue their undergraduate education at Berklee College of Music, studying Music Industry Leadership and Innovation and Jazz Composition. BENJI is passionate about protecting artists and making the music industry more diverse, equitable, and inclusive.

They are the Founder, CEO, and Recording Artist at HOLLYWOODLAND Music Group, LLC, Founder and Editor in Chief for The HOLLYWOODLAND Magazine, and the Founder and Executive Director for The HOLLYWOODLAND Project.

In 2021, BENJI was named West Coast Dance Explosion’s National Champion. The following year was spent assisting world-renowned choreographers on a multi-city national dance convention tour. Teachers included Tony Award nominee Elizabeth Parkinson and choreographers Scott Myrick (Taylor Swift and Katy Perry tours, Grammys, MTV VMAs, Billboard Awards) and Preston Mui (Hamilton, The Musical).

On March 17, 2023, BENJI released their debut single, “the boy from costa rica.” The track, along with an instrumental version, is now available everywhere.

Their debut EP, “BENJI & Their Orchestra Present: hypnagogia,” will be released through HOLLYWOODLAND Music Group, LLC, available on all major streaming services on May 19, 2023. When listening to the project, you may be able to identify sources of inspiration from musicians such as Amy Winehouse, Carole King, Celeste, Esperanza Spalding, Fiona Apple, Laufey, Lianne La Havas, and Norah Jones. BENJI collaborated with Interlochen peers and educators to create this project, bringing influences from around the world, including Mexico, Indonesia, and Venezuela. BENJI’s goal is not to appeal to everyone with their music but to bring authenticity, human connection, and light to those that need it most.
