Every event is different, and performances can be tailored to fit the occasion, setting, and audience. Depending on the event, you can book Apryl Grace for a solo belly dance performance or inquire about having multiple dancers for a larger performance experience.

Performances may incorporate a variety of belly dance styles and props, including veil, fan veils, Isis wings, sword, finger cymbals, cane, and other specialty props when appropriate for the venue and event.

Some performances are lively and interactive, while others focus on providing beautiful visual entertainment for guests. The goal is to create something that fits naturally with the atmosphere of your celebration rather than offering the exact same show for every event.

Southern Sway Belly Dance and the Forces of Nature Performance Collective are available for a variety of events, including festivals, weddings, private parties, community and cultural events, corporate events, and other special occasions.

Apryl Grace’s belly dance journey began in 2001, when she discovered the art form to improve her health. What started as something personal quickly became a lifelong passion for movement, music, creativity, performance, and the connections dance creates.

After returning to Florida’s Treasure Coast, Apryl is excited to bring Southern Sway Belly Dance into its next chapter, serving Sebastian, Vero Beach, Indian River County, South Brevard, and surrounding communities through workshops, pop-up classes, special events, private experiences, and performances.

Apryl’s roots in the Florida belly dance community run deep. After moving to St. Lucie County in 2004, she joined Yvonne’s School of Dance, where she continued developing as a dancer and performer. She remains a proud student of Yvonne’s and has also performed with groups throughout Florida, including the Florida Salimpour Collective and Hips of Destruction.

For more than 15 years, Apryl has also led Forces of Nature, performing at festivals, cultural celebrations, community events, and special occasions. That longtime troupe is now evolving into the Forces of Nature Performance Collective, creating new opportunities for dancers to come together, collaborate, perform, and deliver memorable group entertainment across the region.

Today, Apryl’s approach to belly dance is about more than learning choreography. Through Southern Sway, she wants to create experiences that celebrate movement, confidence, creativity, connection, and the joy of dance, while continuing to grow, learn, perform, and share the art form that has been part of her life for more than two decades.

I provide my own costumes, props, and performance music. I appreciate a safe, clear area with enough room to perform. If the venue has a sound system, I can provide my music for playback, or I can bring my own speaker if needed. We can discuss any special setup or venue requirements ahead of time.
