Behind the Times is a versatile trio that covers a lot of musical ground. Whether it's coming up with acoustic versions of popular songs, playing old time fiddle tunes or singing bluegrass harmony songs, we've got you covered. We can play totally acoustically, or we can bring a sound system. People seem to especially enjoy us for their wedding ceremony. We also play parties of almost size.
We hired Behind the Times for our annual backyard bbq and it was a blast! They were very easy to deal with and the party went off without a hitch. They kept our guests entertained all evening and we heard great feedback from our guests during the evening and the very next day. Many told us this was the best party, and best band we have hired yet and Behind the Times certainly came through ! We would DEFINITELY recommend hiring them for your event too...
Price Range: $600 and up
Gig Length: 60 - 360 minutes
The band takes very little time to load in and setup for the event. Even with a sound system, we can be ready to play within 45 minutes of arrival at the performance site. Vocal harmony is one our strongest assets, we do a lot of that. We are generally a very quiet group, very good for solemn occasions. We can be entertaining (jokes, audience interaction) or more background music. We are called a bluegrass band a lot, even though we are technically not. We can cover that ground, as well as folk, southern rock, etc.
We don't usually perform at events that require any stage lighting, so we have nothing that we need in that regard. We need some sort of covering for outdoor events, in case it rains (or the sun is blazing). We have a sound system that we can bring, unless you need us to be louder than a typical bar band.
