Bay Chamber Players

As a violinist I have worked alone as a soloist but also with piano or guitar and have put together string trios, quartets and even larger string ensembles. Our performances have included full length recitals, informal parties, events for corporate functions and even the occasional home recital. Our music is inclusive and can be geared to the classical, jazz, and popular tastes and can be tailored to your function and taste of music. We have a portable full length keyboard if an acoustic piano is not available and can play with or without amplification. We believe when we are asked to perform given the venue and time to prepare can accommodate most requests.

Graduating from Manhattan School of Music having studied with renowned violin instructors Raphael Bronstein and Paul Zukofsky I chose to play string quartets as a first violinist in Maine as my first job. My string trio was also at this time invited to perform at Columbia University. This first love musically, chamber music has found me performing and working with major calibre musicians such as Gunther Schuller, Elliot Schwartz, Carlos Montoya, Henry Mancini and Josef Silverstein to name a few. As a free lance musician I’ve performed part time with the Pittsburgh Opera and ballet orchestras and before she won her 2021 Pulitzer Prize, under Tania Leon while in New York at the Dance Theatre of Harlem. I have traveled some performing throughout the United States with Mantovani’s touring orchestra and have international solo experience with the Rome Festival Orchestra in 1984. Here in Pittsburgh having started my own chamber group, The Bay Chamber Players, I have enjoyed a variety of musical experiences. These experiences have allowed me to continue to freelance and perform as a soloist, chamber musician, strolling violinist, folk and jazz performer while continuing to freelance with area and tristate orchestras. Currently I also continue to perform as a strolling violinist, with my piano/violin duo and recently have added a new cellist to our ensemble allowing us to perform as a piano trio. We continue to enjoy making music as a string ensemble and look forward to our next recital, wedding, party and event.
