Overview

Funny, professional, versatile, and flexible. I can work squeaky clean or adult, and anywhere in between.
My Dry Bar special (all clean) was released in Sept 2023. Before comedy, I worked in the corporate world in I.T. as a tech and later as a project manager, so I know & understand the business world well.
I've been a stand-up comedian for 10 years, so I've seen a lot and can handle almost any situation. I've done corporate events for 1000+ people, and birthday parties (at a home) for 10, so no matter the event, I'm ready.
I'm on the road often working clubs, so the sooner you message me, the quicker I can get you on my schedule!
I look forward to working with you - and making you laugh!

What a fun crew! This felt like the least corporate, corporate gig ever! Thanks for having me, and for the kind words!

About

Barry Laminack’s comedy hits you like a breath of fresh air—genuine, energetic, and just the right amount of goofy. With a unique blend of high energy, sharp wit, and an unabashedly honest take on life, Barry has been cracking up audiences from coast to coast. Whether he’s sharing hilarious insights on marriage, pop culture, or recounting his wild ride through Hurricane Harvey, Barry leaves no stone unturned and no topic untouched.

A regular favorite at clubs and corporate events across the country, Barry’s goofy, relatable style connects with audiences in a way that makes you feel like you’re hearing from a friend—just a much funnier one.

Along with touring the nation as a headlining comedian, Barry also hosts the sports and entertainment show “Barry On Deck” on Twitch. He spent over 7 years on ESPN Radio where he hosted one of the highest-rated sports talk shows in Houston. Barry spent 3 years hosting/producing popular sports content for television on both KPRC (NBC) 2 and CW 39.

He’s shared the stage with comedy heavyweights like George Wallace, Gilbert Gottfried, John Witherspoon, Damon Wayans, Big Jay Oakerson, Chris Porter, Dusty Slay, and Erik Griffin (among others), and in 2023 Barry released his first comedy special, “No Warning,” on Dry Bar Comedy which held the #1 spot for over six weeks.

Barry Laminack delivers a show packed with laughs and unforgettable moments. Now, it’s your turn to see why Barry’s comedy is a can’t-miss experience.

Additional booking notes

The following are necessary for a comedy show:

Stage - The audience must be able to see the comic. Ideally the stage is elevated higher than the audience so that people sitting in the back can easily see the performance as well.

Lighting - There are so many laughs and extra details of a joke that are not spoken, but rather "told" with our face. That's why it's important to have great lighting on the comic during the show.

Microphone: If the audience can't hear the jokes, it goes from a comedy show to a mime show, and that's not what I'm good at 🤣! Great sound is CRUCIAL to a great show. If the sound is bad, none of the other stuff matters really.

Influences and inspiration

Growing up the comic that made me want to be a stand up comic was Bill Cosby. When I watched his special "Himself" at 8 years old, I knew right then I was going to be a stand-up comedian one day.

Later on growing up Def Jam Comedy was a huge influence on me.

Currently, I really enjoy Bill Burr, Dusty Slay, and Dave Landau but I don't really have any comics that influence me today.
