About

Formed in 2018, Barnum Jack plays music that honors the roots of traditional bluegrass, with a modern twist. Barnum Jack came together after Sam Avery (guitar, vocals), Sam Aubuchon (mandolin, vocals), and Chad White (banjo, vocals) all realized their shared appreciation for the early bluegrass pioneers. The trio then added Will Miskall (bass, vocals) and Jackson Ramsey (fiddle, vocals) to round out the quintet.

Barnum Jack made their official debut in 2024 after releasing their self-titled album to airwaves all across the world. Shortly after the release, the group won the Pickin' On Picknic band competition. Using their profound appreciation of the bluegrass origins, and impressive musicianship, Barnum Jack continues to entertain audiences all over.

Additional booking notes

Along with our music, we are also able to provide limited production for the smaller events including sound and in most cases, whatever else is needed from the bands end to get the show running.

In cases where we are unable to provide the required accommodations, we pride ourselves on making things as easy as can be for the promoter. We use a fine tuned limited set up, perfect for bluegrass, that makes it simple for events where sound is outsourced to another company.
