High Cotton
Overview
High Cotton, from the flat prairie land of east central Illinois, aims at the heart of the high-lonesome sound, full of foggy bottoms and smoky mountain tops. It airs out three and four part harmonies on top of scintillating banjo, skirling fiddles and Monroe-style mandolin all played to the insistent rhythms of guitar and doghouse base. From its beginning days as house band for a local production of the musical Cotton Patch Gospel, High Cotton searches out song and instrumental material to zestify your day with hard-driving, tasteful music. February 12, 2018Great southern sound and easy to work with!
These guys played a morning worship service for us and they did excellent. Their sound is amazing and you could tell that they had chemistry. They were very organized and could adapt to any changes that we wanted to make last minute. I would recommend Dan and his group for any possible events that could use a great southern sound, or just great music, period.

February 27, 2013Highlight of our event!!
We hired High Cotton to play at our Dad's Birthday/Retirement party at the Christian County Courthouse earlier this month. We had over 200 people of all ages attend the event and EVERYONE loved the music. Luckliy we had enough room to create an impromptu dance floor because High Cotton is so good and so full of energy that my whole family was up dancing! Thank you High Cotton for helping to make our celebration a memory we will always treasure.

June 28, 2012We Need to Bring 'Em Back!
We hired High Cotton for our town festival this year and they were a big hit! We've had lots of positive comments from folks around town asking us to bring them back next year! They really play to the crowd and have a wide variety of songs with bluegrass standards, gospel, and folk. They were also extremely professional and not put-off by a few things that could have caused problems for their performance. Thanks for the great show!
