Lord JD Adler, Bard of the Bay, regales audiences with tales of past heroes and villains of Florida history, as well as their ghosts who continue to haunt our streets... Also, the occasional Florida Man story for comic relief.

October 25, 2025What a treasure find Bard of the Bay turned out to be. He is a gifted storyteller, knowledgeable about the history of Florida sharing tales of truths and myths. He was animated enough to make you laugh and smart enough to make you learn and clever enough have you spellbound at the edge of your seat.

April 30, 2025What a great and unusual night! Went to a backyard concert and JD entertained us for an hour that flew by. I was surprised and sad when it ended. Definitely would hire him for my event.

If you hire JD he will hook the audience, reel them in, and transport them into the world of the story. When the tale ends, it will be like they have returned from a long voyage.
All he needs to perform his magic is a staging area, a mic, and an audience. If you don't have audio equipment, let us know ahead of time and we will arrange that (depending on if the space requires). JD will arrive 30 minutes prior to performance, confirm the layout and set up, and be ready to perform by 10 minutes prior. He will regale your audience with stories of a genre you have previously discussed.
When JD Adler was born to a school teacher and a meat packer in a small, former steel town in Pennsylvania, he had one black eye and he was giggling about the whole situation. After high school, he wandered America by plane, train, bus, automobile, and thumb. He passed out below sea level on the streets of New Orleans and climbed the mountains of Alaska to gaze across the tops of clouds at the setting sun. Finally settling in Florida, where he found his soul mate. Along the way he gathered stories, which he'll happily share with you (for a small fee).
